Odyssey - Cocktail Bar & Function Space — Restaurant in Great Britain

Came here for a private celebration. I had an amazing time up until the big "manly" security guard ruined the end of the night. There were a couple of under 18s at our party and yes I do acknowledge that they had to leave at 10pm. We all were dancing away and it got to 10:03pm when he first came and infiltrated. He came over and quite harshly told us that "under 18s needed to leave at 10pm and its now 10 past"...it was not 10 past. So as he came over we all started packing up, gathering bags, saying goodbyes. He left us alone as we were doing this. Then most of us were waiting by the exit, waiting until our whole group were there so we could leave. To prephice, at the start of the night, the same security guard again quite harshly explained that at no point under 18s were to go downstairs alone, so we were all waiting until we had our whole group together. When the security guard came over voice absolutely BOOMING. YELLING at the top of his lungs "UNDER 18S NEED TO LEAVE RIGHT NOW" at a 12 year old girl. 1. RUDE. 2. we were trying to leave... so we left the stragglers behind and went to wait outside, when the 12 year old had their balloons taken out of her hands by the same security guard, saying "you can't take the balloons"... WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE CAN'T TAKE BALLOONS FROM THE PARTY? YOU DIDNT EVEN SUPPLY THEM???!!!! so anyways we left and we were talking outside about said security guard when he had the CHEEK to 1. Earwig into our conversation and then 2. Gaslight us saying "I didn't shout" babes YES YOU DID. to which he replied "I just have a loud voice" no you don't you were shouting at a child...and then had the nerve to tell us that the person we were waiting for was too busy "gabbing" gabbing...GABBING???? HOW RUDE?! I was having such a good time until this man ruined the end of my night. He then disappeared upstairs anf tried to be super friendly with other people who attended...Doing your job is one thing... this was too far, chill out. So anyways thanks for reading Lots of love (unless you are the security guard i am talking about... i DO NOT love you) ,...

Had a surprise 40th birthday party for my husband at Odyssey/Boom bar in Hull , it was a brilliant night everyone enjoyed themselves, The manager was brilliant from start to finish nothing was to much trouble he totally looked after everything I needed. The venue catered the food which was lovely, there was plenty of it, with lots to choose from. They also set up the room how I'd asked and the added bonus was they cleared up at the end if the night so I didnt need to do anything apart from getting the guest of honour there and enjoy ourselves which is what everyone did. The doorman was really friendly to everyone who came. I would definately have another party there again can't thank Rob the manager enough for taking all the stress off and making the night...

Up for bowie convention...over 150 people on Friday night and all day Saturday..3 bar staff ????. No wheelchair access...no lemon for drinks..toilets not cleaned from Friday to Saturday. Rude security guy..glass collectors took my glass twice with drink still in it..boiling hot but no air conditioning & asking if they could open a fire exit door for 5 mins well the guy looked at me as if I'd got 2 heads..to top it off they only had 1 lager & if it was carling I'll pack up drinking it..deffo watered down as it went flat in 30 seconds also you would have thought that drinking from 1 in afternoon till 1 the next morning I'd feel a bit tipsy...not in the slightest....boombar is a big...
