Visited with a party of 13 including children, they were extremely accommodating and couldn't help more. We found a little area to one side of the pub with seating where we could keep the kids out of the main pub area. We ordered food the sharing platters and a number of sides the food was well cooked and plentiful and the prices were certainly value for money. Staff very friendly and helpful without being in your face. I would certainly recommend eating here. Had a great lunch here. I had the pie of the day which was braised beef and stilton with veg, mash and gravy, it was excellent, the flavours were fantastic. My wife had liver and onions which is her favourite. I also had a pint of Bull's Hit which I hadn't had before, it was very good. December 2022: good selection of craft ales from the Pied Bull Brewery. Reputed to be the oldest licenced house, dating back to 1155, still houses the original staircase which dates from 1535.
