Want to preface this review by saying the food was absolutely gorgeous. Although the service was awful I would be inclined to go back for the food alone it was that good!

We were a table of eight. Felt like it took a while to get drinks orders. I was waiting for my specific drink for 15 minutes and when my friend asked the waiter he turned to her and said ‘ye it’s chill it will be there soon’ and walked away quite dismissively. When the plates were coming out a female waitress shouted out a plates name but no one on my side ordered it rather than go to the other side of the table she shouted very sharply the name of the plate again making some of us jump. Her tone was very off and we felt like we were being scolded! One of my friends said they then saw her going over to another staff member and looked like she was talking about us. It made us all feel quite uncomfortable.

The food started coming out before I even got my first drink. There was quite a lot of wait staff but felt like they weren’t meeting your eye at times. This kind of created a bad atmosphere for us and made us feel like an inconvenience. None of us are shrinking violets and we’re all polite people but by the end of the meal we were making jokes about the fact the waiters didn’t like us.

I’m making this review in hope it gets picked up because the food was so exceptional if the staff didn’t snap at us and generally be quite dismissive this would be my new favourite...

I had high hopes coming here but honestly won't be back.

The service was really good - we were early for our reservation as it was pouring but shown a place at the bar, and taken to our seat right on time. The waitress was super friendly and explained the menu.

The food was good, but nothing spectacular. The Hummus came with one rather small bit of bread - you definitely need two for the amount of hummus given.

The pork belly was the nicest item. Really tasty.

However our biggest problem of the visit was the wait between plates coming out. There was at least 15 minutes between each item. So the chips came out and were long gone before the steak arrived. It was just too slow for the food coming out. However the table beside us had all their dishes appear in 15 minutes and could sample from everything, yet we had less food come out over the course of an hour. It was a pretty disappointing experience.

I know small plate menu items come out when ready but it didn't feel like we had a meal, just a series of small plates with a long wait in-between. The place wasn't even that busy. There were at least four empty...

*UPDATED REVIEW Atmosphere was nice and servers were lovely. Cherry sour with lemon mergine foam - 2/5 For me very sweet

FOOD Raw oyster- 4/5 A little bit stuck to the bottom but very fresh tasting. Strong flavour. Very spicy but enjoyable.

Pakora- 5/5 Sauce was really interetsing. Decent amount of cheese.

Dc hot link - 3/5 pickles very mild but lovely. Sauce wasn't the greatest, sausage was just sausage.

Fries - 4/5 pretty good. Sauce was full of dill which I liked.

Beef and lamb kofta - 4/5 Great sauce. Just lovely.

Steak - 2/5 I didn't like the sauce at all. Otherwise Steak was cooked rare and salted well. Boyfriend would 3.5/5 as he likes steak more than me.

Sebbs sundae - 5/5 got mines without strawberries or sauce. Very good ice cream.

*OG REVIEW Lively atmosphere. Came here on a Tuesday night and place was pretty busy! Only stopped in for a few drinks but staff were still attentive despite the numbers and cocktails selection was great. I think reasonably priced cocktails and...

I really wanted to love this place but I didn’t. There was nothing wrong with our experience per se, but it just wasn’t an enjoyable atmosphere for dinner - very busy and loud, probably because of the design/layout and the DJ’s sound system. The cocktails are incredible and the food was decent (albeit on the pricey side), but we were struggling to hear each other over our dinner. There were people at the table across from us who were huddled together so they could talk. Service was great and the staff were really friendly. It’s also really clean and well organised. We chose to come on a loud Friday night but it felt more like a pre-drinks bar at that point, rather than a place to have a nice meal. Would I come back for dinner? No. Would I come back for drinks? Absolutely.
