There are a few vegan options. Personally, I think it was a little overpriced, however considering its location, they are probably priced competitively for a tourist area. That being said, the vegan caramel slice we got was delicious.

One point of criticism however was the service. While the staff members were friendly when actively serving you, there was no acknowledgement to customers when they were waiting to pay or on initial shop entry. While this may seem petty, after waiting patiently for five minutes to pay for an additional item with no acknowledgement that I had been noticed (I was at the checkout, with no barriers, made eye contact multiple times and smiled to them and received no acknowledgement), I decided it was a better idea to leave.

Used to visit here with my 5yo Daughter before she started school full time. Unfortunately I stopped doing so when on two separate occasions I arrived to find they were closed well before their advertised closing time and on another occasion was turned away at 3.45pm when closing time was 4.30pm. Arrived today at 3.50pm after school, well in time for their 4.30pm closing time, having stupidly promised my daughter that we could go after she asked to 'go to the hot chocolate shop that does the chocolate mice'. Guess what....closed...cue the tears. There was a sign in the door mentioning closure due to bad weather, which must have been old because 5° and dry in Buxton is almost sunbathing weather. Very disappointing and a shocking way to run a business when opening hours are...

Delicious handmade chocolates to take home and serving the best hot chocolate I've ever tasted in their coffee shop. The staff on my visit were an absolute credit to the business. Genuinely friendly, interested in what they were doing and knowledge to boot.

Visited again around 4 weeks ago and seemingly there's been substantial changes made, the service was fairly good but the quality of the chocolates was no where near where it was on any of my previous 5 or so visits.
