St Peter's Tavern — Restaurant in Liverpool

As we were walking around Liverpool, we stumbled upon this church with writing on the side of it St Peter's Tavern!! It had other writing on the side saying porters ,beers and stouts So we decided to venture in to see what is was all about. As we walked though we noticed candles lit everywhere giving it a calming relaxing feeling. We looked around to see deer heads hanging everywhere and very long bar with a wide variety of beers on tap. They also had Gluten free beer bottled of course. We ventured all the way to the back to find a small room that was less noisy to sit and chat. As we looked around some more ,we realized there were four other floors to this church. The top one we found a lot of people yelling and cheering on their favorite football team as was the second and third level. On the bottom floor you heard none of the noise from about. They also have an outdoor area for drinks aswell. We loved it so much we came back a second night.

The vibe inside was nice but we had a few issues with the service. Firstly the bouncer asked my friend where she was from upon seeing her ID and after she confirmed she wasn’t Indian he asked her if she was sure. This started our experience off uncomfortably. Then we got to the bar and we were asking the prices of a couple drinks before making a decision, we asked the price of a particular beer to which the blonde girl behind the bar said ‘that’s what you get if you come to a nice pub’ with a snarky tone. We felt the attitudes of the staff were all quite hostile in general, I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for good service but if you want an over priced pint in an old building...

This Pub is so much better now it's been revamped and refurbished 👍(and is no longer the tacky Alma de Cuba's) The layout is still the way it used to be (which is great) with lots of space and tables/seats 👍 It's got lots of paraphanalia on the walls to give it an 'traditional pub' feel about it, which is nice 🙂 The Service is good, and the drinks selection is great 👍 Prices are also surprisingly cheap 😲👍 (reminded me of Wetherspoons pricing 😎) All of this seems to work as it gets busy with a real mix of clientele of all ages and backgrounds (which makes for a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere 👍) Deffo...
