Cardinals of Mayfair — Restaurant in London

An English Italian fusion restaurant. We ate lunch here. It was a small place but great food. During the usual eating times, it is a crowded place. When we were eating here we noticed that many locals also come here regularly.

The staff is very nice and takes their jobs seriously. It seemed big and partly a family business. You also notice love but also professionalism. We were served very friendly and fast.

The design is a classic old design but gives a lot of atmosphere to the place. It can seem a bit chaotic but that also makes the place lively.

The food what top I had a pasta and other a classic English breakfast. It was really good tasting and also quite a lot.

I can't remember for a moment if there was music on when we were there. I can remember not. But because the place was well stocked and everything going on in the place there was a lot of noise around you which made it feel good.

Reading other reviews stating friendly and polite staff, left me rather perplexed. The staff are from that and I waited for nearly 15 mins outside and didn't even get a sniff of service, whilst I might add others who came in after where served. There is simply no excuse for this. Further to this all the staff are rude, with the exception of one waitress. I've suffered the service a couple of times previously and to be honest the reheated microwaved food isn't worth the price tag or experience. I used to work there as a dishwasher and ate my free lunches there every day. The food was always delicious, the place was kept clean and I was treated like a family member. It felt sad to be let go, but my work was to cover for a person who had broken his leg or arm (not sure, it was 15 years ago) and I was really bad as a waitress (I'm in the autism spectrum), so couldn't stay.
