By far the worst Blank Street branch Iâve been to, canât believe how atrocious the service was⊠Iâve never seen such inattentive employees ever, when thereâs only one customer in the queue and thereâs three baristas gossiping to eachother. Specifically, the barista with red hair (looking like a CEX employee) who clearly works to cause problems with customers. I simply wanted a regular pistachio latte, with âOAT MILKâ but the barista with red hair kept correcting me saying we only sell them in either Small or Large. However, on the board the cup sizes are displayed Regular or Large. I have been to many Blank Street branches, where they just accept the order normally without complaining, and showing attitude and putting one down in a derogatory way over the cup sizes available. She kept declining my order, for a regular sized cup, till she forced the words âsmallâ out of my mouth, belittling me. Otherwise, I would have not got my beloved Pistachio Latte, which is by far my favourite hot drink.
After, the order had been placed we were waiting for around 10 minutes, where there was no one else waiting for their drink but somehow they needed 3 baristas to make a simple Pistachio Latte and it still came out bad, as they added regular milk instead of oat milk, which later gave myself severe bowel problemsâŠ
Furthermore, I did not receive any latte art in my hot drink, which was a bit disappointing because Iâve been to other Blank Streets (Shoreditch, Holborn and Tottenham Court Road) where they make the drinks with passion and love. My drink was served like I ordered from a Costa machine in a petrol pump! Clearly, the barista with red hair doesnât know what she is doing, and requires additional training. Just give me the barista apron, and I can guarantee Iâd make a better hot drink than the lady with the red hair honestlyâŠ
AVOID THIS BLANK STREET!!!
Go to either the Holborn, Shoreditch and Tottenham Court Road branch, if you want to experience the real Blank...
Read moreI am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the customer service I received at Blank Street Coffee's Canary Wharf locations. My experience reflects poorly on your brand and suggests serious deficiencies in staff training and operational efficiency.
White male in the branch near Atis was unbothered huge lack of customer attention. The other branch in Canary Wharf, 1 hijabi dark skin, the shift supervisor apparently, spoke very informally and was rude as well as the Asian hijabi cashier.
My initial attempt to place an order at the branch near Atis was met with redirection to another location due to an excessive backlog of orders. Upon arriving at the second branch, I was met with outright rudeness and refusal of service. The cashier bluntly stated that they were not accepting orders due to the impending closing time in 10 minutes and existing workload, further complaining about an off-duty employee making a personal drink having to help out. Such unprofessional behavior is unacceptable and creates a hostile environment for customers.
The excuse that staff members are unwilling to work past their shift is a management problem, not a customer's concern. If closing time is genuinely 8:00 PM, orders should be accepted until a reasonable cutoff time to ensure timely service. The fact that both branches in the same area were rejecting customers due to being "too busy" indicates a severe lack of foresight in staffing and resource allocation. As a large company, Blank Street Coffee should be capable of managing peak demand without turning away business or subjecting patrons to appalling service.
I urge you to investigate these matters thoroughly and implement comprehensive staff training to prevent future occurrences. Failure to do so will undoubtedly result in further reputational damage and loss of...
Read moreI am very disappointed by the service of the staff at this specific branch, i have never had issues at any other Blank street and have always received brilliant service. I had arrived at 6:50pm on a sunday just before the England finals for the Euros and my friends and I had seen that closing is stated as 8pm on google. We arrive and a member of staff had served a few people infront of us and when we arrived they had told us that theyâre closed and not taking anymore orders. I explained itâs 6:50 and that it stated they close on Sunday. Working with food and beverages I am aware it is normal to stop taking order half an hour before closing to clean etc however we arrived more than an hour that the cafe was due to close. She refused to serve us and kept stating that their closing is at 7pm and that Google had put the incorrect time which is a lie, as the week before the same friends i had been accompanied by had arrived past 7pm on a Sunday and were able to make their order. The staff who had told us this lie had an attitude and i did not appreciate being lied to and then she continued to make up things such as cleaning up takes a very long time etc. Once again i would understand if this was past 7pm, we had travelled there specifically as we once again clearly saw it was due to close at 8. I feel as if she had just wanted to watch the euros herself which if that is what she had said to me instead of lying i would have been fine with. We then ended up leaving without any drinks and appalling service with staff lying...
