Don't know if this place has new owners, but its gone down hill drastically since the last time we ate here and it used to be one of our go to places to eat. The food - menu has been changed less choice. We ordered the burnt ends meal, it was swimming in bbq sauce so much so that I couldn't finish it. Normally this is one of the nicest things on the menu. The mac and cheese was dry and tasted like it had been sitting for hours. Ive had better mac and cheese from greggs. The fries were ok. Again way to much bbq sauce on you couldn't taste the meat and thats the whole point of bbq food not the sauce. The cocktails were decent staff were very apologetic that they couldn't make one of the drinks we asked for. More menu changes happy hour seems to have disappeared. Shame. The staff who served us were lovely. The possible manager that was sitting in the corner on his laptop and giving everyone death glares as they came in needs to get a personality transplant. At least three groups of people walked out after he glared at them. The atmosphere in this place used to be fantastic no matter what time you went in. It felt like a waiting room at a funeral when we went in on Tuesday. One of the most expensive meals we had when we were in London, and one we were looking forward to because we always used to have a great time and lovely food. But this time I hate to agree with the other reviews on here but the place has drastically gone down hill since the last time we ate here

First time eating at this bbq restaurant and it was a huge disappointment! I picked this location because of the good reviews. First impression was how dirty this place looked. From the windows to the floors, to the tables and to sauce bottles…everything in this restaurant was dirty and greasy. Service was horrible too. Waited well over 25 minutes after being seated for the server to acknowledge us. Food was also bad. I had beef brisket with sweet potato fries. Brisket was dry and tasteless, the fries were burnt and bitter. They didn’t give me any cutlery when they brought out my food. The server dropped the food on the table and immediately turned around and left before I could even ask for it. I had to wait another 10 minutes before I could get anybody’s attention. The roll of paper towel sat empty the entire time we were seated. Nobody cared to bring a new one. Absolutely no attention to detail. I ended up asking for the bill twice and was totally ignored. I had to walk up to the bar and ask the “manager” for my bill and also asked him to take out the service charge. Told him I refuse to pay for horrible service. He didn’t even care to ask if there was an issue. The indifference of the staff is quite noticeable. They just don’t care. Overall horrible restaurant that’s badly managed. I don’t recommend it if you’re looking for good hygiene, good quality food and good service. You definitely won’t get it here.

My friend who was turning 30 decided he wanted to go to this place, not sure of whether it was because he had been before, or simply just good recommendations. Either way, let me first start off by saying thank you. The customer service provided was so on point from the very moment I walked into the building. They especially went out of their way to make sure that my friend was accommodated for on his birthday celebration, and also surprise. The restaurant took in the presents we had bought, and cake we had bought, and came out at the perfect time to present them to my friend. That special shout out goes to Kordell. Thank you so much for making the evening a memorable one, customer service as good as his does not come often and I honestly would say, it would be a blessing if anyone attending has the opportunity to be served by him. Now the food review. I had only been to one smokehouse in my time, and it wasn't Bodean's. But now, this will probably be the only smokehouse I'll be attending. I had ordered the Burnt Ends and Ribs with a side of spring greens (or collared greens if you're from the States) and everything was well Seasoned, the burnt ends and ribs had a delicious bbq glaze which I'm still thinking about 24 hours on, the fries had this crazy lemony, onion seasoning which meant every fry was a flavour explosion on the tongue. So to round off my experience. If you're thinking about going here. Do it.

Bit of a strange experience this one - came for a birthday meal and booked in for a set time. Some of our party was running late so we were waiting for them to join us. One of the managers came to us not to take a drink order, but to remind us that we only had the booking for 1 hour left or so. That's all well and good except you haven't taken our order for the drinks yet....

The rest of the party arrive and we start to place our order, the man taking the order replies with only a stare and a "Yes.", no writing anything down so he forgot our side order we wanted. Staff were not very attentive throughout the meal, no checking in on the food or for more drinks.

The food is okay, the portions are not massive. The vegan hot dog had barely any sausage compared to a massive bun, and only a small amount of chips. The brisket meals I saw on the table were not huge either, looked a poor amount for an evening fill-up. The BBQ sauces provided on the tables however were very nice.

We finish the food and again, a manager comes over and reminds us that another booking is waiting and that they will need the table. At this point we still have 30mins left of the booking, and no one was asking if we want to order anything else so I'm very confused what we were supposed to do about that. Why is it put on the customer to rush out the door, instead of the staff she manages?

We order a couple of milkshakes to finish, they are only some flavoured syrup in blended ice creams - not very thick like you'd expect of an American Diner style milkshake.

Overall, the ambience and decor of the place was spot-on, but the food and the service was underwhelming. Would...
