Cannot even begin to describe how amazing our experience was here!

After a not-so-great experience previously at the Moorgate location, the manager at Clays invited us to come back for another chance, and we decided to try the Canary Wharf location instead; I'm so glad that we did!

Between the service, atmosphere and food, everything was truly outstanding. Mehmet, our server, was absolutely amazing - he was so attentive, so helpful and so good at making sure we had everything we needed. He was super friendly all night, and as we had one member who was vegan and another gluten free, he talked to us about which menu items were suitable for our needs.

We tried the silver package, which was bottomless drinks and food for 2 hours, and gaming for 1.5 hours - it was really great and genuinely one of the best nights out we've had in a long time! We were greeted by Mehmet with a bucket of wine, prosecco and beers, as well as olives, and had access to an events menu with a range of different food items like pizza, sliders, cauliflower bites, etc. He made sure that there were options available for my vegan friend and me (gluten free) and was incredibly attentive throughout the rest of the evening, whenever we wanted to try one of their amazing cocktails!

The virtual clay pigeon shooting idea was super fun as well, and we all really enjoyed a unique evening rather than a usual pub night.

After our game time was up, we went to sit outside in their heated / enclosed patio, which was stunning. We spoke with a couple other servers as well, Shania and Abbi, and both were so kind, funny and helpful throughout the night. They also recommended some amazing cocktails and just had an amazing amount of energy about them.

Let me start by saying, the waiting staff at Clays were nothing short of marvellous – cheerful, attentive, and making us feel right at home. Big shout out to Prianka! The bar staff were equally impressive, demonstrating a cocktail knowledge so extensive, they could probably shake up a perfectly balanced martini blindfolded. Truly, top-notch service all around.

The concept of the games was smashing fun – with a group of 20, you'd expect chaos to reign, but thanks to the team-organised gameplay, it was smooth sailing. Everyone had their moment to shine (or miss spectacularly) – a brilliant evening for bringing out competitive streaks and a touch of banter. Wholeheartedly recommended if you’re after a lively, laughter-filled evening.

Now, a quick note on the “bottomless” package we opted for as a group. Drinks? Flowing like the Thames during a storm – splendid. The food, however, turned out to be a bit of a curveball. Turns out ‘bottomless’ didn’t extend to the nibbles as it was a one-time order from a small selection on the menu. While the offerings – pizza flatbreads and chips – were tasty, for a crowd of 20, it felt a bit like throwing a pack of digestives to a herd of ravenous rugby players. We'd have gladly paid for seconds if we'd known upfront, so a heads-up would have been appreciated.

All in all, though, Clays delivered a cracking time – a splendid blend of hospitality, games, and just enough cocktails to justify some questionable aiming skills. Cheers to the team for a jolly...
