Well, i feel quite taken aback by the customer service the said "manager" on duty has today. I'm not quite sure whether the title has gone to his insolent brain however his mannerism was far from correct.
My mother is currently heavily pregnant and needed the toilet as well as a bite to eat. We asked a member of staff if we could use the toilet and he replied that it was out of service despite the fact we saw someone come out of there already, we let him know we was aware of this and he suggested instead we go to "pret a manger" since there's only a certain length of time she can handle we decided to just go in which he replied "exactly" ...I was perplexed....was it the colour of our skin that made him believe he could talk to us like this? He clearly wasn't even a British citizen judging by his accent and to be leaning on the counter as if you were outside leaning on the curb with some friends instead of in a professional setting after confronting him about what he said he replied "i didn't say anything" he was in a state of denial presumably or maybe it was selective memory. He decided to walk out on us with the threat he was going to call the police which obviously wouldn't make any sense since he wasn't physically nor verbally assaulted
Fortunately another member of staff took action on his behalf apologized and helped us instead. As someone whose been working within the food, customer, and hospitality service for over 6 years just by that interaction i can tell that the management needs to be changed. It's not about how long you've worked somewhere as opposed to how well you do your job whilst you work there. P.s. the disrespectful staff who may ... High may be low key racist has blonde hair and you may see him on a TikTok...
Read moreGo in with the right expectations and Itsu really hits the spot. I dined at a couple while staying in London and much preferred this location--less busy, very clean, and with self-ordering kiosks allowing me to set my own pace and review the menu at my leisure prior to purchasing.
Itsu makes a great lunch spot (or even a protein-packed, light dinner, when you're in a pinch). With a wide variety of soups, pots, rice dishes, and sides to choose from, I certainly ate my fill. My noodle pot arrived piping hot with tender cuts of chicken, slick noodles, and fresh vegetables mixed in a savory broth. My Veggie Dragon Roll partially fell apart during eating but I relished every bite and would purchase it again. Edamame carried that salty-sweet, vegetable-green crispness and saved well until the next day in my refrigerator hotel.
And the mango cheesecake mochi--oh, the mango cheesecake mochi! The perfect balance of firm and soft, supple to the touch and dusted with a tangy-sweet cheesecake coating, it tasted almost like a cool creamsicle battered in brown sugar crumbs.
I would gladly return for another helping, especially...
Read moreOn the day 26th of Thursday about 9pm, i got in to this store through the open door to grab some food. While I’m trying to order by self ordering counters (I spent 3-4minutes), one girl come down to me and said, shop is closed. I’m totally frustrated and disappointed and replied back “why you let people in then, if you closed “ Also ask what time you usually closed and said 9pm. So I told her I went in before closing time. But the one skinny middle age gent ( only male I was seen, rest all girls) from the kitchen said the same thing and ignore what I said and ask me to leave. The fact that they should be reliable in serving customers till it closed. One girl told me that I can buy some dumplings which was left over. So it is such an unpleasant and embarrassing moment that I faced around such a busy area by Aldgate tube station. Hope they will improve their service...
