Leon is a great chain restaurant that offers a unique concept of serving healthy and tasty fast food. They have found a great sweet spot in the market, offering a range of options from Moroccan vegan meatballs to their famous baked fries. The colourful and retro decor adds to the experience, and the quick service is a plus.
This particular branch is in a great location, filling a major gap for fast food services around the new Battersea Power Station shopping centre. The restaurant was bustling with activity on a Sunday lunchtime, and the automated ordering screens made it quick and easy to place our order. However, despite the excellent food and service, the restaurant was let down by its cleanliness. The tables and floors were filthy, and the toilet facilities were in a terrible state.
We brought this issue to the attention of the staff, but there seemed to be no urgency in addressing the problem. It's essential that the management take steps to ensure that the branch is properly managed, and that cleanliness is a top priority. If this had been the first Leon branch we visited, it would likely have been the last. Despite this issue, Leon remains a great choice for healthy and...
Read moreI have always been a fan of LEON but my recent experience was extremely disappointing.
Having entered my loyalty club membership number, I was making an order at the kiosk. I couldn't figure out what the relevant discount code was so went to ask the staff. The staff insisted that it is impossible to apply the discount code at the kiosk, so I must make my order at the till. However, I won't be able to collect loyalty points for orders at the till. So it's either loyalty points or the discount.
I couldn't find it anywhere on LEON's T&Cs that the two can't go together. Emailed customer service, and was told that the discount code can only be used at the kiosk, and nothing can be done at this point. I was indeed making an order at the kiosk but trusted the staff and ordered at the till instead. So I should now be penalised for following staff members' instructions? Absolutely ridiculous. Not to mention that the staff was fairly condescending throughout, as if trying to use a discount code and the loyalty membership, which LEON does offer, is a shameful thing.
Wouldn't have expected this to happen at a well-established chain like LEON. Won't b going again for...
Read moreI have never been to any other LEON locations, but my experience at the Battersea Power Station branch has not been good. I’ve been there twice and will likely not return. The overall cleanliness of the place is poor, and they seem to be understaffed. The food is also disappointing. My main complaint is that it’s not made to order—everything is premade and kept under heating lamps or in warming boxes. One time, I ordered a wrap, and before I even finished at the ordering machine, they were already calling my name and pulling it from under the counter. It felt no different from grabbing food at a supermarket or Pret A Manger, except at a higher price. Today, I decided to give it another chance and ordered a chicken burger, fries, and a soda. Once again, nothing was hot—just warm, like food that’s been sitting under a heating shelf. The fries were stale and clumped together, and the burger wasn’t hot either. Overall, not...
