I love Nandos and I got Nando’s quite often and I’ve been going to Nando’s ever since they open up in Eling common from a school young age I’ve been going and I always understand some people get tired. They can have a bad day. It’s been a very long time since I’ve come across an employee of Nando’s who knows exactly what they’re doing and they’re very professional and they do an extra click in order to explain things for you even though I know the menu by heart and I know exactly when I take every time I go to Nandos I just order my meal Even before I finish my meal I decided to write this review because of this person the way he served me his name was Marco, what a Gentleman . Nando should always look for employees like this because Nando is the best in the game they know exactly what they’re doing. It’s a shame that they sometimes get let down by simple things. This is my local branch sometime. Avoid coming here and I look through the window and I see if the person who’s got a long face which I believe is one of the seniors we don’t tend to come in with my wife here we go to a different branch because I believe where you go and spend your money. It’s not only your money is where you’re willing to spend that money the person whoever is surrounded you they can make your day or night just by simply doing their job and I’m not a person who normally ask for extra they have to be polite and say yes Sara yes Madame I’m not that type it’s just simply doing the job and explaining to you something that you may not be aware so what this gentleman done I go to Nando’s often and I have so many rewards so I ask him should I just use my revolts just to detect and explain to me very professionally and told me if you use it in a different method that will be useful to yourself which make me really thank you and he asked me if you’re gonna visit sometime soon you can use it there and then, and I come at least three times a week and I was very thankful for that time and effort that you made for me and explained to me and he asked for Nando’s called again and went to the system and checked and explained to me took a seat and highlighted it for me even though I believe he’s a manager and there was people behind me he didn’t make me feel in rush or anything and explain everything in a very professional manner So I wanna thank marco for making my night And I wish one day he can be a CEO of a company like Nando’s because he can do with that attitude Thank you once again And I’ll always be coming here if I see through the window...

This is not the first time we visit nandos, but it has been years since the last time and we were excited to eat there again. What we didn’t know is that we would end up being really mad about the service and how they treated us.
First of all, the guy that sat us (he was the cook) had 0 energy and mumbled the information about their menu. Then, the girl that took our order (at 8:34pm) seemed really out of it, as if not understanding what I was asking her (3 starters and the main course without the sides because we wanted everything together). Here starts the problem.
The starters came relatively fast, even though they got one of them wrong, which is okay! everyone makes mistakes. The first problem here was that they started to question me about the starters and felt accused. At the end, I was right because I knew what I ordered and had to show them the ticket and left me alone. Too alone…
Because our starters were done being ate 20 minutes after they arrived (we tried to hold ourselves and we couldn’t because we were hungry) and expected to have our chickens soon… well… we had to ask for them.
Here comes the second problem. We ordered our chickens at 8:34pm and ended up getting them at 9:37pm because they probably ended up forgetting us, but when asking them about it, once again I felt like I was doing something wrong. The woman that looked like the manager told me that they usually serve the chicken after the starters (but by that time, which was almost half 9) we already finished and non of their servers passed by to get our plates or check if we were even done so… how would they know if we were done??
I was already mad, so I replied to her that we were done and that we asked specifically to the girl that took our order to be all together because we didn’t want the sides on the chicken.
After that she apologised, but we were already upset about this whole interaction and even though the chicken was at nandos level we were just really upset and I even felt bad for staying longer than their closing time.
On the other hand, I can see I’m not the only person complaining about the staff, so I hope this branch can find a solution or at least give their staff a proper and basic costumer...
Read moreYesterday (20/01/24) myself, a friend and our children had lunch in the Notting Hill branch of Nando’s. My first annoyance was being told I could only order online which wasn’t working out for me. I only wanted 2 glasses of wine which meant 10 mins of faffing with a glitchy website so decided best I go talk to a human. First guy I spoke to didn’t seem to know what wine was so went to fetch another guy who then said it could only be done online so I handed over my phone, but then he decided to use the till in front of him. I’m not sure what’s worse human inadequacy or computer says no. Both a bit annoying. Anyway, time got away with us and we needed to leave but I hadn’t finished my wine. I asked for a take away cup but was told they didn’t have any so went next door to another take away place and got a paper cup to decant. When I got back to Nando’s the manager had confiscated my glass of wine and said I had to drink it there because it wasn’t allowed to leave the premises. I decanted my wine I had paid for and said I appreciate its policy not to allow it but it would be irresponsible for me to down a glass of wine and as I had paid for it, I was going to take it. He implied he would call the police because I was breaking the law. Regardless of the technicalities- WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE!?? Pick your battles, you can advise people of your POLICY but please do your company a favour and get a GRIP. If I had time I would have hung about to see what the police had said to this manager. My wine, my cup and my responsibility. It was one of the most ridiculous interactions I’ve ever had. So, if anyone intends on taking away the drink they’ve paid for, bring your own take away...
