🚇 Notting Hill Gate 🍺 £6.60 Estrella ❤️ A modern Greene King pub in fashionable Notting Hill. . The Old Swan is located just off the busy junction of Notting Hill Gate and Kensington Church Street. Notting Hill Tube is just across the road. . The original Swan Pub in Notting Hill was built in 1855 (last picture) and was demolished in the 1950’s for road widening. The pub was rebuilt in 1962 and for a time went under the moniker of The Rat & Parrot but eventually reverted to its original name. . The pub has had a recent refurbishment which has transformed this boozer to a modern and stylish establishment. This is a good size one bar pub which doesn’t look like the usual uniformed @greene_official set up. There is a mixture of leather banquettes, poser tables and regular low level seating. The bar area looked good, dotted around the bar were some neon signs and a few TV’s showing live sport. . The beer selection was good, I had a pint of Estrella and had no complaints except the price tag. The food menu is a combination of pub classics and American influences, fish and chips costs unusually £15.29. . There was a terrific atmosphere here and a good mix of clientele. Around the fruit machine were an old couple trying their luck, a few ladies enjoying a mulled wine plus a few tourists discovering the area. I caught half an hour of the Poland v Saudi Arabia world cup game along with a few other lads albeit on mute. . The @oldswannottinghill is a different proposition from the surrounding pubs in the area. It has an American bar feel to it which makes for a contrasting pub experience, definitely worth a visit. . ℹ️ Info correct on visiting 26/11/22

Thanks to a random IG post, this has been on my list. Conveniently, it wasn't far from where we concluded a day of touring and shopping about 400-ish. Quiet neighborhood, not busy. It was very warm inside but only 2-tops on the sidewalk, so in we went, settled in just in time to see some Summer Olympics on one side and Harry Potter on the other! We opted to get their 5 small plates for $28 with a salad. The pulled beef croquettes were OK, the chili sauce did nothing for the squid, and the salad was the most peppery arugula/rocket salad I've ever had. But everything else was standout, even lemony squid alone, so much that we order another goujons and fries. Husband doesn't even like fish and he really enjoyed the lightness and flavor. Staff were lovely and checked on us a few times, bringing extra plates and napkins without asking. The bathrooms were generally clean but maybe the heat/humidity just made them seem more summer clammy,

I recently had an incredible experience at the Old Swan Pub! From the moment I walked in, the cozy atmosphere and charming decor made me feel right at home. The staff were welcoming and attentive, providing excellent service throughout the evening. The drink selection was impressive, featuring a great variety of local ales and classic cocktails. I opted for a seasonal brew that was refreshing and flavorful—a perfect complement to the evening. The food was equally noteworthy. I tried their hearty pub fare, and everything was cooked to perfection. The flavors were spot on, and the portion sizes were generous. Overall, the Old Swan Pub is a fantastic spot for a casual night out, whether you’re looking to enjoy drinks with friends or indulge in some delicious comfort food. I can’t wait to return for another enjoyable experience!

Absolutely loved my visit today. What a fantastic experience from start to finish. The team were exceptional, striking the perfect balance of professionalism and warmth. Every single member of staff was welcoming, attentive and genuinely could not have been more helpful. It is clear they take immense pride in what they do, and it really shows.

The beer selection was top notch, with a thoughtfully curated line-up to suit every palate. Each pint we tried was perfectly poured and clearly well looked after. The cleanliness of the venue was also worth noting; everything was spotless and immaculately maintained, creating a really comfortable and inviting atmosphere.

What really stood out, though, was the incredible sense of community that fills the place. It has that rare charm of a true local, the kind of pub where you instantly feel at home. Whether you are a regular or just passing through, you will be welcomed like an old friend.

A special mention must go to Raj, who went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. His attentiveness and friendly nature really made a difference and elevated our whole experience. He is a real credit to the team.

I genuinely cannot recommend this place highly enough. If you are in the area, make sure you stop by. You will not be...

Not a bad pub to go to for sure, I have been coming here occasionally during the weeks after i finish work. As it is near the tube station which is good, and does show the football and sports on the TV screens which is nice. I have never ordered the food from here as i saw on the menu they had, that they were charging over 8 quid for a cheese toastie which in my opinion is utterly ridiculous!!! The choice and selection of pints are good and not too badly priced, as it is Central London after all. One thing i must say is that the music that is being played through the speaker systems inside the pub during the evening is terrible!! disco music is not good music to listen and drink to. Period. One last thing is that it is a bit dark inside and can be a bit difficult to see what you are doing once the sun goes down during the evening. I suggest investing in better more suitable lighting so that you can see things around yourself a bit better, for example when getting up and down from the tables and chairs to use the toilet or go to the bar, it can be easy to walk straight into a chair or table without realising potentially causing injury. Other than that its a good pub and nice bar staff, and the tables and toilets are always nice and clean...
