Read moreOur visit to Boom Bap Burger left us feeling somewhat underwhelmed. While the prices were reasonable and the concept promising, the execution fell short in several areas.
The burgers, while okay, lacked the bold flavors we were hoping for. Additionally, the fries/chips were disappointingly unseasoned, missing the opportunity to elevate the side dish to the next level. Perhaps double or triple frying could impart the desired crispiness and flavor.
We were also disappointed to find that the onion rings, rumored to be a highlight, were unavailable during our visit. Furthermore, the garlic mayo we ordered on the side failed to impress, tasting more like sour cream than the flavorful condiment we expected. It was particularly disappointing considering the extra £1 charge.
Additionally, there was a misunderstanding regarding the burger itself. We assumed it would come with two patties, only to discover it contained just one. While the option for a smash burger sounded promising, we found the overall experience to be lacking in excitement and uniqueness.
On a positive note, it was cool to see that Boom Bap Burger has its own brew on tap. However, given the price point, we expected more robust flavors and a more memorable dining experience overall.
In summary, while Boom Bap Burger has potential, our experience fell short of expectations. With lackluster flavors, unseasoned fries, and underwhelming condiments, it failed to leave a lasting impression. Perhaps with some adjustments to seasoning and menu offerings, Boom Bap Burger could elevate its dining experience to match its...
Read moreSo good to have another Boom Bap on the scene and even better that it is in the great location that is Leadenhall Market. The ambiance felt good at their new place on one side of the market, which is nicely decked out and spacious, so feels very welcoming. The staff make sure of that too and are extremely knowledgeable and friendly, without encroaching on your time and space there. They know what they’re doing and happy to let the food do most of the talking, as the burgers Boom Bap serve are still amazing.
Don’t think have ever had a less than fantastic burger at any of their places. Though would recommend the Drop it like it’s Hot beef burger as perhaps the signature one, I’d go with the sweet potato fries on the side but there are plenty of other good options. Shout out also to the Vege options, as wouldn’t normally be my thing but on my previous visit tried the MWA, Mushroom with Attitude, and mmmmm really did hit the spot, was delicious, so it’s most definitely not just for the meat lovers here.
You can tell making the customer happy is their main priority and for their prices, I can tell you they probably will!! Note also on this new one in Leadenhall, there are plenty of drink choices and a great outside covered space, so if you just want to go for drinks, was bustling enough to be a good after work option in such a central and iconic location. An AAA from me, would 100%...
