The Roasting — Restaurant in London

So this morning I decided to not go to Gail’s that’s just across the road as I wanted my money to go into the pockets of a smaller business which I try my bestest to always do however I really wish that I did NOT. There was one more customer behind me who gave her order of course after me however she walked out of the cafe with her coffee while Beth still had not started mines both Beth and her colleague were chatting away asking if the coffee was for Mr Grey again as it was her second time this morning getting a coffee . I kindly asked Beth why which I got a reply of “well it’s just a double expresso” and without any word dumped my coffee on the table after making sure she took her sweet time and said “that’s yours” as she turned around with not one care in the world. I hope Beth gets the same treatment asap and is reminded why it is important to be treated respectfully and fairly so no more customers are left with a sour taste after leaving this coffee shop vowing to never step foot in again. Really poor service and potential safety hazard. I came in and ordered a dirty chai latte with oat milk, and the price was decent and atmosphere was nice. I received a drink and went outside to start drinking it, at first I couldn't really taste any espresso but I thought the spices might have overwhelmed it. I also then started to feel a bit funny and I'm lactose intolerant so I started to wonder if maybe it was regular milk which my partner confirmed upon tasting it. We went back inside and very nicely asked if they could check to make sure that there was espresso in it and also that it was not regular milk. The cashier quite rudely said no it's definitely not I just checked with the barista and it absolutely has espresso in it and with oat milk. I was pretty convinced otherwise and asked her if she could be sure because it didn't taste like it, but she was very dismissive and so I ended up throwing away my 3.80 drink. Stumbled upon this Coffee shop to get a Cappuccino with Oat Milk for my wife and a Matcha Latte for myself. Unfortunately they had no Matcha left, which should be marked on their board to save people quing up to be told there is none left. I told them it's ok I'll just have a small Cappuccino with Oat Milk as I don't drink coffee which they charged me £4.80 I thought this was very expensive and asked someone and they said "no it should be £3.60" So I was standing there waiting on the refund as they all scratch their heads on what to do.I had to just leave as I had to catch a train. I wasn't impressed. I recommend you to check what you have been charged for in this place.Charge on the boards does not reflect what they put into the CC machine. I know things are getting expensive and companies have to claw back money they lost in the pandemic but this is ridiculous.
