I went to rosas thai and was deeply shocked, appalled. Firstly a table of 8 we were sent to a horrible room right at at the top. Tables were sticky and dirty. Secondly the starters came well before the drinks, even though we asked several times. Also two of us didn't receive our starters until around ten mins after everyone else. We asked for serviettes and cutlery and the waitress practically threw the stuff at us. And again I had to ask for serviettes. We asked for water at drinks were taking so long. A jug put on the table with no glasses, we asked for them and she slammed them down. When the starters came she threw them at the table too without giving them to the recipient. The biggest shock came next. Our drinks. Bearing in mind the week before we had the same margaritas at Westfield branch. The photos show you the full glass at Westfield end what we received at seven dials. It was a shot of margarita. I was shocked so I asked them what was going on as only a third of the glass was filled for a cocktail costing £8.95 to my horror the waitress said they've been asked to fill the glasses with 100ml if liquid and the Westfield branch actually made them incorrectly. I have never heard such an explanation. So I started to take photos. The guy came along and said I'm sorry these are on me, ive never made these before so maybe I'm incorrect.... What???????? Anyways the following meal was mediocre at best. Calamari was terrible and practically batter. Also the meal came literally after the starter which was really wierd. Give us a chance! We ended up paying £282 and a whopping £32 service charge (approx) for the most disgusting service I've ever had in my life. Truly the most terrible restaurant I've ever been to.... I'm truly shocked. I read some reviews last night and I'd tried the Westfield one the week before (that was ok apart from 50min wait between courses). Reviews were mixed for seven dials and I even mailed mohammad the manager who reviews these reviews early this morning to state I was worried about bringing my party there and will he please ensure things go smoothly, no response. Fair enough he might not be around. But it was my sons birthday and it was totally ruined by this place. Never again!

Our dining experience at Rosa Restaurant in Covent Garden was a true delight from start to finish. For starters, we indulged in the popcorn shrimp with prawn crackers, a dish that was bursting with flavor and crispy goodness. The combination of the shrimp and crunchy prawn crackers was a perfect way to kick off our meal. For our mains, we opted for the Tom Yum noodle soup with oyster mushrooms and the Tom Ka noodle soup with chicken. Both dishes were exceptional in taste and presentation. The Tom Yum soup had a satisfying balance of spicy and sour flavors, enhanced by the earthy oyster mushrooms. The Tom Ka soup was creamy and aromatic, with tender chicken adding a hearty element to the dish. The service at Rosa Restaurant was attentive and welcoming, adding to the overall enjoyable dining experience. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, creating a pleasant atmosphere for our meal. In conclusion, we were impressed with its delicious food, attentive service, and inviting ambiance. I highly recommend trying the popcorn shrimp and noodle soups for a flavorful journey through Thai cuisine. A must-visit spot in Covent Garden for those seeking a memorable dining experience.

We arrived around 5:20 PM and quickly ordered two dishes. Although the restaurant was only half full, we waited a long time for our first dish. A nearby table who arrived 10+ minutes after us received their food, finished eating, and left—while we were still waiting for our first dish. After finishing the first dish, our plates were cleared, but the second dish didn’t arrive for another 15 minutes. During this time, the restaurant got full, and the two servers were overwhelmed. We tried several times to ask about our order but were completely ignored. One server brushed us off with a quick "it’s almost ready," but we still waited much longer. We spent over two hours here, mostly waiting. Yet a 4% service charge was still added, despite there being virtually no service. The first dish (a £19 grilled & fried platter) was good. The second (£13.8 tom yum noodle soup) was disappointing—more like a strange tomato soup than actual tom yum. Overall: slow service, poor communication, and inconsistent food. Not worth the time or price.

Great food but the service was unbelievably slow. I eat out a lot and never have I encountered such shoddy service at any restaurant before.

We arrived at 4.30pm for our booked table and left at 6.10pm after just two courses.

The wait time to place an order was far too long, wait time for drinks and prawn crackers to arrive also very painful and attentiveness of staff massively lacking too.

We were asked about the enjoyment of our starters - but that was all. Nobody asked about our main meals, nobody offered additional drinks and there wasn’t a mention of desserts. I had to locate some very absent staff to pay my bill.

Frustratingly, when booking the table, I confirmed the occasion as a birthday. Whilst the food was good, the service today was a huge let down, and so bad it was that I would neither return to nor recommend this particular restaurant.

When the bill arrived, I asked that the service charge be removed as the service was simply “dire”. Explaining all of the above, the response of the server was that she had only started her shift at 5.00pm. The response as perplexing. I don’t care for staff shift patterns - but I do care about my dining experience and especially so on my mother’s birthday.

Whilst we tolerated the substandard service, others didn’t, with two gentleman getting up and leaving about 20 minutes after sitting down. The staff didn’t interact with them at all...

I had the pleasure of experiencing excellent service during my recent visit to Rosa Thai Restaurant, and I must highlight the outstanding performance of Puja Panday. From the moment we arrived, Puja greeted us with a warm and genuine smile, making us feel right at home. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive, and she offered great recommendations, especially when we were unsure about what to order.

Throughout the meal, Puja was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring our drinks were refilled promptly and checking in on our satisfaction at just the right moments. She maintained a friendly yet professional demeanor, creating a welcoming atmosphere that enhanced the dining experience. Her recommendations were spot on, and she clearly has a deep understanding of the dishes and their flavors, which added a personal touch to our meal.

What stood out the most was Puja’s attention to detail and her genuine care for the customers. It was clear that she takes pride in her work and values her role in providing excellent service. Her efforts contributed greatly to making our dining experience memorable, and I look forward to returning to Rosa Thai in the future, knowing that such a dedicated staff member is part...
