I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Lodge Cafe, located just outside Hyde Park Corner Tube station in London, and I must say that it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with a warm welcome and the staff's friendly demeanor made me feel right at home.
The service at The Lodge Cafe was truly amazing. The staff members went above and beyond to ensure that every customer was attended to with care and efficiency. Their attentiveness and willingness to accommodate specific requests made the dining experience even more enjoyable.
Speaking of the food, I was blown away by the quality and taste of the cuisine. It was evident that everything was prepared with great skill and attention to detail. The fact that all the dishes, including the breads and fresh juices, were cooked in-house speaks volumes about the dedication and passion of the chefs. I highly recommend trying their Hot Chocolate, as well as their delectable Pizzas. Both were absolutely mouthwatering and left me craving for more.
Beyond the scrumptious meals, The Lodge Cafe offers a small bar area where one can relax and unwind with friends. The selection of lagers and cocktails was impressive, and the bartenders were knowledgeable and friendly. It was the perfect spot to kick back, enjoy a drink, and engage in lively conversations.
I cannot praise the owners of The Lodge Cafe enough. Their warm and welcoming nature adds an extra layer of charm to the place. They genuinely care about their customers and take the time to engage in conversations, making you feel like part of their extended family. Their presence adds a personal touch and creates a welcoming ambiance that is hard to find elsewhere.
In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend The Lodge Cafe to anyone looking for an outstanding dining experience near Hyde Park. The combination of amazing service, mouthwatering food, and a cozy bar atmosphere make it a truly memorable destination. Whether you're a local or a visitor to London, this charming cafe is...
Read moreI went to say my farewells to The late Queen (09th of September- morning ) and on our way back from Buckingham palace me and my friend popped in here for a hot chocolate, really nice and cosy cafe with hot food. While my friend was ordering our hot chocolate I went to look how upstairs additional seating areas looks like as it says in a note there’s additional seating upstairs. The guy making the coffee was really rude and asked me where do I think I’m going and when I said to take a look upstairs he rolled his eyes and said yeah but you need to order first! I said we are ordering as my friend was waiting for our drinks to be made at the till. He did apologise but there was no need for the eye rolling and the very bad attitude as it was a lovely place but seems like wrong people are working there. People like to see a happy face in the morning with a smile not a sarcastic, rude attitude towards costumers. Please advice this young man how to be polite about things at work. Lots of training on customer care ect.. it was a nice place and the hot chocolate was good but unfortunately 1star for the very rude guy who worked that morning. Sorry! Reply to owner’s reply saying maybe I should ask before going somewhere - wow! the owner seems as rude and unprofessional as the staff then, no wonder! Next time then when you advertise saying there’s additional seating upstairs in a big black lettering you should also add “ PLEASE ASK STAFF BEFORE ENTERING OR CHECKING UPSTAIRS TO AVOID ANY RUDE EYE ROLLING AND QUESTIONING FROM STAFF” lol I can see the why people have left the same review as me about your rude staff because as the owner you are not seem to be setting a good example at all lol. UNPROFESSIONALISM...
Read moreCame here on a Sunday by lunchtime. First is a narrow corridor in the historic building. A sign asks you to wait in this area, probably because lack of space. Then the four of us came into the open space room where you could pay. Some things you could pick yourself, while you could read the written menu and pick something else to eat as well like the soup. There were many options and the rude staff were yelling a lot. The four of us hadn’t fully ordered before they called in the next people in line. Now it became even more crowded in the relatively small space. They should have located the cash register differently in the room. Apparently there was no back door, so the staff needed to through ordering customers when they were to serve ordered food to the right table. It was a really messy logistic. Staff were yelling and you had very little chance to know what to order before entering this room where you were supposed to know exactly what to order. So no time to decide really. Especially not with rude and screaming staff, that possibly seemed stressed out. The toilet in this place was basically a cupboard and the latch for locking the door was broken. So you had to hold the door for it not to open while you were in there. The food had hardly any taste, but it was eatable. I would suggest a new owner, new staff, better logistics, make sure people can access the menu before they are supposed to order, an investment in a lock for the lavatory, especially a culture where the staff is polite to their customers. We hadn’t committed any crime, we just didn’t know exactly...
