This ramen spot is really always a good idea ♥️
Such a gem hidden in Selfridges !
++ The food was really really good ! It’s hard to find non-tonkotsu ramen in London, and I was very happy to see this little spot while I was shopping there.
I got the Tokyo ramen. The broth was tasty, the marinated egg was flavourful and the meat was delicious. Absolutely 10/10 for this bowl of ramen !
The service was 10/10 too ! I sadly forgot the name of the blond lady who served me, but she was a ray of sunshine ! Super friendly and knowledgeable, we talked about ramen for a bit and it turned my alone meal into a memory making experience.

Not a negative point but to be signaled, I was seated on the last booth on the right side, and the position of the seat makes it that you kind of eat in front of your left neighbour. The seat can’t be moved, and I had to kinda seat crooked until my neighbours left and I didn’t feel awkward to just seat straight and facing their now empty spot :)
Nothing negative in that review ! I personally regret not buying their Chili sauce which made the ramen even better :)
Thanks...

We ordered Geki Kara Ramen and Japanese Mushroom (Summer Ramen) 🍜
Geki Kara was delicious, however, I guess I was expecting more than just half egg and pork with that kind of price. I wish would have just ordered a Tonkotsu, which is pretty similar to that dish. As a whole, it was yummy! The Japanese Mushroom summer ramen was lovely too, there was a lot of flavour and presentation was good. There's chilli oil sauce and soy sauce available on the side if you want a little kick of spice in your ramen!
Service was quick! There's not a lot of seats available but when we went, it wasn't as busy as we thought. Staff were friendly and helpful!
The atmosphere was good! As the place is a busy area, it can be quite loud but the area is spacious and even though people walk past you, they won't bump into you whole eating, lool!
Overall, Tonkotsu always makes their food delicious and appetising! Some food were reasonable priced. I would recommend this place for lunch and dinner and you want...

What's the source of the wheat flour?
Believe it or not, a lot of Japanese restaurants in the UK either didn't reply or replied to something unrelated when I asked the staff or emailed the company to ask.
FYI, Japanese wheat is GMO wheat. Only the EU bans GMO food.
Because of Brexit, GMO or not becomes an unknown. It's very important to check the source of the wheat flour whenever planning to visit Ramen restaurants.
So impressed that the staff worked hard to understand my question. It was confirmed that the wheat they use for the ramen is UK wheat, not Japanese.
There's no point to compare this restaurant with the ones in Japan either.
Everything in the bowls tasted good. Everything was made from stretch with local(UK) ingredients. Impressive.
Very different style to the Chinese handmade noodle restaurants. It's up to individual's preference.
Thank you for the staff's...
