08/10/25 Arrived at 8pm for our Wing Wednesday booking and it seemed like they hadn't even reserved us a table as it took them at least 10 mins to find somewhere for us to sit. I made the booking a week before, i requested a booth in my online booking. The last couple of times we've been for wings it takes a long while to start getting trays of wings from paying for ww and getting drinks, this time at least 30 mins. The first round of wings are always the best but by the second or third tray the wings are dry and overcooked and almost inedible, my wife and partners wife gave up as they couldn't even cut the third tray of bbq wings. I always have the buffalo hot wings and that sauce seems much better at keeping the wings moist and edible and able to power through. There would be no way to be able to get on the leader board with wings total with the long wait at start unfortunately. This time was an odd set up where some servers were only able to bring us wings then another server came over to take our order of wings but not able to do drinks but the guy in yellow t-shirt seemed to be able to do everything, surely it would make sense to allow all servers to be able to sort us wings, drinks and pay at the same time. Its always busy when we come and you seem to have enough staff on, two on bar, 3 servers and kitchen team but lately theres always a delay on getting food etc. I understand brewdog is going through financial woes etc but you only going to decline quicker if you can't cater to the numbers you bring in to the bar. I work in a country bar restaurant and we do upto 40 covers at a time and its only me doing bar, running and serving food and welcoming guests but i get it done with a smile on my face and we get great reviews on google etc for our food and service so there doesnt seem to be any reason why you struggle.
Been 3 times now over the last year for Wing Wednesday, twice with the boys and once with the wife.
Big shout out to the barman JOE, this lad is totally customer focused and always smiling and grafting. Alot of the staff keep their head down and work but try and avoid eye contact with punters unless asked but this lad is always keeping his head up and making sure everyone is being served and having a good time.
Little tip for the wings is to get the sauce poured over the wings or they can be a little dry if u have the sauce on the side in a pot.
Each time we've come in there have been little improvements to the experience with last night them putting mucky pup wet wipe sachets on each tray of wings which makes cleaning off your hands way easier, a great idea. Try the fries too as a side they're delish, like posh maccy ds fries.
Beer is always good and as I can't drink alcohol due to medical reasons the lucky saint on draught is a really good pint of lager.
The music is decent but would love to have a bit of DnB or Thrash Metal just to mix it up, I would request System of a Down - Chop Suey for our next outing for wings 😉
Seats are comfy even on the high tables but if you have to pre book a table 24 hrs before you really should give the option of where you would like to sit, would love to have a booth but they're always taken.
Would also love to see a leaderboard of most wings consumed weekly etc for a bit of healthy competition or failing that a pic board of tables booked for wings like you do for the puppy party photo board.
Defo one of the best meals out in Plymouth for a social gathering with friends. Can't wait...

Having frequently been to this BrewDog for drinks, in some establishments you would consider these people regulars and treat them as valued customers, we thought it was time to try out the ‘unlimited’ wings Wednesday. This time our group was of three as opposed to our usual two, admittedly, I had made a mistake in booking and only booked the two. Worth noting this was after trying to book in the bar and being told you can only book through the website. Is this by any means more convenient for the customer; is this just less of a ballache for the staff? I can only theorize.
Having accepted my mistake I asked if there was anything we could do? The restaurant area was roughly 30% full. We were told very brutally ‘no’.
Customer service is a brilliant trade and one I fully value having worked in it for many years myself, I do not value rudeness nor the lack of empathy required to find any sort of resolution.
This is only the beginning.
Staff in this BrewDog are normally very friendly, with one very clear exception, no surprise the one refusing to resolve the situation. We were in fact informed we could under no circumstances share any of our two wings we were permitted even after buying another full price meal, this I will get onto in a minute.
For any reader I question: have you ever been out with your partner or friends and wanted them to try a taste of your food or vice versa?
At this point we were rather hungry and waiting for the waiter to take our order. And waiting. No waiter. We had to walk up to the bar to order the food including one £15 burger, with no chips.
After only a 45 minute wait the food arrived. When we asked for chips upon the burgers arrival it was only a further 45 minutes until they arrived alongside two of ours second portion of wings. The burger was long gone by this point, out of hunger certainly not enjoyment. The wings were okay.
The next round I opted for cauliflower wings. I find this easier to describe as battered dough that may have seen a cauliflower at some point in its life.
Don’t worry the dissapointment doesn’t stop. All the wings are paired with a sauce. This was not seen after the first portion. Instead replaced with a large portion of some vomit-like lemony substance underneath one of the wings. Frankly repulsive, I struggled to stomach this.
Our final round saw a complimentary blonde beard hair in one of the wings. Not sure if this is their way of making up for the lack of sauce or just shocking.
One bonus I didn’t pay for the chips. This was not their initiative but mine. If they would like to create an issue with this I’m happy for a chat about the whole experience. As the staff were too rushed off their feet for a chat at the time with the 4 tables they had. My gosh I don’t envy such a tough shift for 7 people (!)
Worth adding on to the end here majority of the staff, again with one major exception, are absolutely lovely and great bartenders. This experience was really not a great show of their skill. As always the beer was thoroughly enjoyable and reasonably priced. I will not be coming...

First, I would like to start by mentioning that Emma, Rachael and Gin's service is exceptional. They go above and beyond every-time to make sure that our visits are perfect. It is their friendly approach every time that adds a personal touch and makes us feel welcomed and valued as a customer. Infact, our local BrewDog is Exeter but we prefer to travel to Plymouth for their service. Out of all of the restaurants we visit, including chains, BrewDog Plymouth has shown the best service. There has been no service quite like theirs anywhere else.
We have had many family gatherings and a Dog Pawty at BrewDog Plymouth. There are no other places that offer a Dog Pawty like BrewDog does! The staff at the time were not only friendly and accommodating to us but also showed genuine affection and care towards Skylar, the Siberian Husky. It was evident that the staff went the extra mile to create an inclusive and enjoyable experience for everyone, for us and Skylar. Skylar loved her party hats, banner, dog beer and dog ice-cream! She also got to have her photo taken and was added to the Paws of Fame!
From the food menu, I always tend to order the Monthly Specials or Buffalo Chicken burger or chips. The September 2023 Special (FRANK SRIRACHA BURGER - Hot honey & sriracha glazed crispy chicken, roast onion & chive Philadelphia.) has been one of my favourite Monthly Specials. The food is always warm coming out the kitchen and yummy! I always feel satisfied with the flavours and the food in general... this is why we struggle to go anywhere else for food! Thank you to the chefs at BrewDog!
I think that my family and I, have tried the entire food menu, including the Brunch Menu and dessert. I was sceptical to try the Deep Fried Oreos because it just sounds... weird. But do it! I couldn't believe how AMAZING they are! The Death By Chocolate Cake is another great dessert - perfect for two people as the slice is quite big! The Beer Ice Lolly is the perfect dessert for the hot days in the Summer.
From time-to-time, things to do wrong. Kitchen may be slower than usual. But it is how the staff handle it, that makes the difference.
The staff are always more than happy to provide drink samples. Fifty-Fifty is one of my favourites during the summer. The hot mulled cider was delicious but the perfect beverage for autumn and winter. Punk IPA, Hazy Jane and Lost are the ones I tend to order. Schöfferhofer Watermelon Mint is also YUM. Great every-time! Even the Bad Beer Vodka and Lonewolf range does not let you down.
Thank you Emma, Rachael, and Gin for your professionalism, warmth and care.
Cheers to the incredible team...
