I had a portion of Black Truffle Ravioli but it was a very small portion for a full meal price. Me and my friends said that it was merely a starter which was sad. We had to go somewhere else after to feel really full which shouldn't be the case if you pay over 20 pounds for a meal and a drink. The food was good but regret going for this option as all my other friends had a good portion with their chosen option which they paid a similar price for.
2.had to add this after my latest visit I had a hair in my vegan burger which was very unpleasant. I am not one who likes wasting food so just mentioned it to the staff who ensured me to talk to the manager right now and then come back to me. after waiting 5 minutes i saw the same waitress just continuing her job without any explanation or apology in side. So we left with the decision not to come back it feels like over the years cosy club has gone down the hill
2.1 I have an allergy to MSG which is not one of the major allergy causer. In the past cosy club catered to my allergy and talked to the chef to give me some insurance. Now they just roll it of with a learned prashe basicly saying its not their problem and its on my own risk! Which makes me feel very unwelcome and not cared for so me and friend finally decided that this would be our last...
Read moreWe arrived at 9:40, 20 minutes before the kitchen due to shut. We were pleasantly greeted in a lovely atmosphere by smiles, seated promptly and introduced to the restaurant. Tim, whom served us throughout our meal, was beyond excellent and his attitude is top notch. My partner and I were given plenty of time to decide on our orders and Tim poured complimentary waters, whilst taking our orders.
I went for the beef burger, with the advised additional cheddar, bacon and side of onion rings served with fries and coleslaw. I was surprised by the quality and flavour, extremely impressed.
My partner went for the crispy duck salad, and was quite confident in saying it was the best duck she's had ever, excellent sauce. (And she eats alot of duck 🤣 freakkkk) and she loved all of it, she finished it all including a side of fries, was quite impressive compared to her normal intake. She must really have enjoyed it.
Super happy with everything involved in our meal this evening, from the exquisite service from Tim and the very polite Jay who brought our check and cleared our table. Excellent staff, great food. Lovely drinks. Will be recommending to friends and family, thoroughly impressed 👌
Tim was excellent. Very grateful for all the service...
Read moreI've been to the Cosy Club in Bath and was not disappointed so I was ever so excited to go to the Plymouth branch. Initially we were not happy with our main course. As the most expensive dish on the menu, 'Lamb Shoulder', we did not expect an over-cooked, black, burnt/crispy pile of what looked like pulled pork but supposedly Lamb served to us. It wasn't even tender. More pitta bread and tatziki than there was meat on the plate. We were not happy at all and felt that it was misleading. If on the menu it had said 'pulled crispy lamb accompanied by..' ect we would have understood, but we felt for approx £14.50 a dish like that was described as lamb shoulder was VERY naughty. However the service was fantastic. We aren't complainers at all but we had pre booked this meal and were so excited to come here, so we expressed our concerns about this lamb dish that was given to us. The waitress we had was fantastic and we were able to have different dishes at no extra cost. I had the sea bass and my partner had the risotto. Amazing dishes, full of flavour and cooked to perfection. I don't believe its ruined my experience of Cosy Club, but we will be avoiding the 'Lamb Shoulder' main...
