Words somewhat fail me when it comes to describing the Fletcher's experience. Their dishes are well conceived, perfectly balanced and cooked to perfection. Thier menu is refreshing, seasonally inspired and expertly crafted to deliver a memorable experience every visit. The team is incredibly talented, from their knowledgeable bar and front of house staff, to their brilliant array of dedicated chefs. Nothing is missing from a trip to Fletcher's. Special thanks to Sam behind the bar for looking after us during our visit. And to Jack in the kitchen, you're all amazing! Edit* Went again to celebrate my mother's birthday, and as ever the service was amazing, we were extremely well looked after from the moment we entered. The food is still the best for miles and miles around. Elegant flavour profiles, fully realised dishes, and immaculate presentation leave nothing to be desired. The kitchen is on its A-game, and it shows. As ever, thank you to Sam behind the bar, and Jack in the kitchen for always making us feel welcome. You're all great! ~Connor

Such an incredible experience. I'm a pretty fussy eater and I had no issue with any of the food seen in the photos! The food was just amazing. Beautifully made and the taste was unforgettable. The bill come to around the £110 mark BUT that was with 2 soft drinks, 2 alcoholic drinks, 2 "Snacks" (Instead of starters), 2 mains and 2 deserts. The 2 Tart looking deserts in the final photo was a small thank you whilst we was paying the bill. The reason for slightly lower score for the Service & Atmosphere is that one of the waitresses was quiet off in the sense they come and took plates, without asking how the food was, no speaking, smiling or even eye contact. It just felt a little off. The atmosphere was a bit rowdy as there was a large party but that's pot luck on which day you go. All in it was a fantastic way of celebrating our anniversary and would 100% recommend.

30 May 2023 Tue Whilst we were deciding on which restaurants to go in Plymouth, Fletcher's came up often and since it is Michelin recommended, we decided to give it a try! It was a very very pleasant dinner overall with great food (doneness of the meats were perfect) and really amazing service, but personally the sauces were a bit too much for my liking - sauce itself was very nice, but it kind of covered the taste of the ingredients instead of complimenting and bringing out more flavour. I see a lot of potential though as some combination were very unique and delicious... whipped duck liver parfait with smoked eel was absolutely stunning! Love to go back again if I ever go back to Plymouth to see how they will flourish in the future.

Exceptional Food and Service at Fletcher’s, But Room for Improvement in Details

Fletcher’s Restaurant offers an extraordinary dining experience with exceptional food, outstanding wine pairings, and impeccable service. We visited for the tasting menu and were thoroughly impressed by the creativity and execution of every dish. The staff, particularly our server, were attentive, professional, and added a warm touch to the evening.

That said, while our overall experience was fantastic, there were a few small details that let the evening down, particularly given the extended time we spent there. We expected to spend about two and a half hours enjoying the tasting menu, but we were seated at a corner table with two of the three guests facing a blank wall and staring at a router and phone. This table also lacked the finishing touches of other tables, such as a candle or centerpiece, making it feel less special compared to the rest of the restaurant. While the restaurant seemed busy, there was some empty space, so it’s possible that a more thoughtful seating arrangement could have been made.

After nearly three hours, we decided it was time to leave. When we informed the staff, our wonderful server asked if I was bored of the restaurant, to which I honestly replied “yes.” In fairness, after 2 hours and 45 minutes of looking at a relatively blank wall and a router, it did start to detract from the otherwise fantastic experience.

Overall, Fletcher’s is an amazing place with food and service that are second to none. The few issues with seating and ambiance don’t take away from the incredible quality of the food or how much we enjoyed the meal, but these small details are worth addressing—especially for long, immersive dining...

After the usual online search for places to eat, we found Fletchers and was impressed by the reviews and social media publicity.

The food was on point and it matched everything we expected. Maybe food portions could be a little more. We chose from the 530 to 600pm meal deal for approx 25 each. The ambience and cleanliness was fine. Nothing to gripe about.

Service was attentive but overheard other tables waitress having to apologise and ask for information again, so maybe just new or a confidence thing. Again not a disaster for anyone.

The biggest and most concerning complaint from us was upon arrival we were made to wait outside in the rain and cold until they opened at 530pm. The issue was our table was booked for a strict 530 to 7pm window, so you would expect to be arriving a few mins early to have a drink in the bar and then be seated. What you should be doing is making your table times 10 or 15 mins later than your opening times to allow for this.

There was another lady who arrived 15 mins early to meet friends who was elderly and cold. By allowing customers to arrive and relax into their evening would allow you to sell more drinks before they are seated and more importantly make the experience more enjoyable for the customer.

Lots of positives but some...

My husband and I decided to visit Fletcher's for our wedding anniversary and we are glad we did. The staff are attentive and polite whilst being respectful. The ambiance of the restaurant is spot on as it is perfectly decorated and there is gentle music playing in the background so you don't have to raise your voice to your dining partner to be heard.

The selection of the dishes is ideal as although there is about 6 or so starters and mains, you know that everything is going to be cooked fresh and not sitting in a vat somewhere in the kitchen like it could be at a cheap and cheerful chain restaurant. Everything we ordered was fantastic; it all tasted delicious, presented beautifully and arrived on our table hot. The portion sizes too are spot on for the richness of the food and you certainly won't leave feeling bloated or uncomfortable but neither will you leave feeling hungry.

The drinks options are ideal as there is something for everyone on there and from viewing the wine list, there are some very good options in all colours and fizz too. Overall, for a fine dining experience, Fletcher's is amazing and good value to boot. Will we be...
