Highly discriminatory experience. Venue welcomes visibly able-bodied patrons only. One of our party was disabled and on crutches- refused entry by bouncer Alex on ludicrous grounds. He decided for himself that she wasnât, in fact, disabled, and that âhow slowly she managed the crossing,â in front of the venue meant she was a âliability in the club.â- his own words! We had previously scouted the venue and found a chair for our family member to sit on once inside- and yet our disabled relative wasnât allowed in. We didnât even require any reasonable adjustments, as there was only a matter of feet between the door and the seat we had found so that we could have an inclusive celebration together. Utterly disgraceful, dismissive and unreasonable attitude. Staff lacked basic knowledge of legal requirements regarding discriminatory behaviours, and refused to give names and badge numbers- for obvious reasons. Manager Lloyd supported all of this from his staff. Our party left in despair...

I enjoyed the music they were playing it was a throwback to a time where I wasnât out of the womb yet. I want to shoutout the people who go to popworld, I met some lovely old ladies that I as a 19 year old decided to spend my time with, and also I saw a weird couple the woman was about 40 and the man was about 20 maximum but they were lovely to talk to send me a text if ur reading this doll weâll get u dancing again and remember donât let ur man treat you badly we have got your back girl! And also the jĂ€ger lady needs to stop walking past me and smiling because she knows it lured me in and that supports my addiction to jĂ€ger which im trying to stop. All in all a lovely experience at popworld Plymouth I shall be making the journey from Bristol just to come here...
