Not for families now. Really disappointed. Went to the new harbour side venue after being a frequent visitor to the Faraday Mill Cafe. 2 adults, a 2 year old and 9 month year old. We spent ÂŁ70 at lunch time. We were insulted several times by the manager with dark hair. In the past the lady with blond hair had been very kind to us. My 2 year old had clean crocs on and she said to him, âsit on your bottom you are marking the seatsâ. Seats which are plastic and wipable. We took his shoes off. Then you served the childâs milkshake last after making a fuss that it must be in a plastic cup because you say â children keep spilling milkshakes everywhereâ. Finally you repeatedly gave dirty looks to my 9 month old enjoying the food we paid for. You made me feel so uncomfortable I couldnât stay to change his nappy before we left. Donât forget the customers that helped you to be able to move to that location. This is the only place both my mother and I have agreed we would not visit again. Probably a relief to you as you didnât want us there. Your staff look stressed and you wonât keep them if you continue this behaviour. We wonât be recommending...
Read moreI ordered 12 of the oh baby strawberries online to collect in store and they look absolutely amazing. Website is easy to access and simple to navigate, with a fantastic selection of designs and products. The layout and interior upon entry was a sight! Absolutely stunning, a pink dream! Whilst waiting (which wasnât long at all) I browsed the menu⌠plenty to choose from and all sounded and looked absolutely delicious. I opted for the hot honey bagel which was incredible! Along with an iced latte, also delightful. The morale amongst staff seemed high and it was nice to hear (I believe it was management) recognising their team for their hard work. The staff were incredibly friendly and made sure my order was completed quickly and to a high standard. The pricing is on the higher side⌠but the quality exceeds this. Lovely little treat to indulge yourself in every once in a while. Itâs a shame itâs so hidden away in an industrial park. Would benefit a store in the city centre, this business deserves all the...
Read moreMe and my girlfriend wanted to try SS as weâd heard lovely things. The drinks were yummy, the venue was beautiful, we didnât have any complaints with the service until after we tried our food. I had ordered their Bruschetta July Special. Although presentation was great, unfortunately the bruschetta was soggy from the marinara-style sauce theyâd put on top & the flavours of pickled pink onion & pouched egg didnât go with the bolognesey-sauce or chilli oil theyâd combined. I was reluctant to send it back (being overtly British of course) and although polite, my server informed me that they wouldnât replace my meal or give me a discount for something else because âpreference wasnât a good enough reasonâ. Although I can understand this, the nature of bruschetta is supposed to be a crunchy, light bread with fresh ingredients on top. This was a wet piece of toast with an awful combination of flavours that tasted unnatural.
Overall, the experience was good. Weâll just stick to the...
