This review concerns the 7972 Diner at 930 South Whits Sands Blvd. We usually receive better service at Denny's than what happened at this one. We stopped in because it was near the hotel, but things went wrong from the time we came through the door. It was freezing inside. Much too LOUD dance work-out music was blaring from the speakers in the Dining Room. This was anything but relaxing. In fact, it was almost stressful. I asked the wait staff if this could be turned down some, but instead of doing anything, she sent the manager complete with attitude, over to explain to me that loud music and cold temps helped the kitchen staff by providing them with a cooler more energetic environs. This did not show up in the service. She was not going to do anything about it. We asked for a table and were given a 1/2 booth and table combo. Then our waitress took our order and went on break, leaving us with no one to bring the food. They let us sit there because we had made noise about the 'music'. Finally the food did come and we ate quickly so we could leave. We were delayed again because no one brought the check. By this time, I had a roaring headache so we waited by the register to pay. Denny's makes it easy to walk out without paying as there was no one attending there for a long time. We are honest folk so we don't do that, because it was tempting.
