Had problems with bad service at the Chili's in Albuquerque and stopped going. Love the Chili's in Los Lunas .Great did and great staff. Have done a review in this place. Since I live in Albuquerque, decided to give the Gibson location another try. Needless to say it was a disappointment. The waitress was not friendly at all and was almost argumentive with the person that I was with. She just didn't understand what he wanted, eventhough he made himself clear. My chicken fajitas were mediocre. The black beans were cold and had to send it back. The chicken breast tasted processed. There was only one waitress in the area that we were sitting in. She wasn't attentive because she had other tables to take care of. The waitress never came back. I just did the self checkout and was having a problem using my gift cards. My friend got up from the table and told the waitress about the problem. She told the manager because she was busy with her other table. The manager helped me check out. I mentioned the problem with the did and service and that they were short staff. We got at the restaurant at 11:30am. When we left,,,it was lunch hour time. The manager said that it hasn't been that busy and if business picks up, they will add more staff. I mentioned about the chicken fajitas seemed processed.He just said that they were heavily marinated. I mentioned that I love going to the Los Lunas Chili's because they well exceed your expectations. There is no comparison to the Chili's here in Albuquerque. The manager is Los Lunas is doing something right and maybe Albuquerque can learn something from them . That being said,,,,I do not think that I will be supporting the Chili's here in Albuquerque but will certainly make an effort to stop at the Los Lunas Chili's when ever I am out that way. Now, we get here and order everything, the server is patient with us, and we are pretty happy. Our appetizer comes out and we end up finishing it before food comes out. The server comes over and let's us know that the kitchen is running behind because it got busy, and offers us chips and salsa. We accept and continue to wait. The manager comes to the table to let us know that the kitchen lost our ticket but that it is next up so we should have food soon. Food shows up and all three orders had problems. One had the corn that goes with the ultimate barbecue platter when he had asked for loaded mashed potatoes in its place (and no loaded mash). The other barbecue platter did not have the regular corn that was ordered, and the steak and shrimp plate came with asparagus and tomatoes when we had asked to have it left off. Then we realized that the server never asked what temperature we wanted the steak at so it came out nearly well done. (It should have been medium rare.) We ask for the veggies removed and another steak. The two with the barbecue platters are almost finished eating before the steak comes out, and the manager brings it out and apologizes for the mistake. We decide we want to go ahead and get dessert and about twenty minutes later, we still don't have the Oreo molten cake we ordered, and we realize we have been there for almost two hours because we had to keep waiting on food. We ask to speak to the manager and he doesn't seem to understand the issue we are having. He asks what we would like done, (besides comping the entire meal), and we say maybe the dessert, and a reasonable discount. We get the receipt back and see that he took $5 off the steak meal and comped the dessert, for a combined total of $13 off a meal that was almost $100. We will not be returning to...
Read moreWhat can I say, I was hoping things would turn out great but that was not the case. When I walked into the restaurant to be seated I seen a couple of employees standing around. They made eye contact with me but did not greet me. I continued to wait for someone and after about thirty seconds or so I then proceeded to seat myself hoping they can rebound off first impressions but that was also a fail. I sat down at 8:20pm and waited for ten minutes to be waited on and to my surprise no one came. I was there in plain view and was passed up many times. After I got up to leave a white couple walked in and was immediately greeted and shown there seats. I am not sure what their issue is but I will never visit this place again. Thank you for your terrible customer service. If I can give it no stars, I would.
Update review: I spoke with the corporate office a day after this post. The gentleman on the phone was very understanding and sympathetic. He decided to forward my information to the District Manager who contacted me two days after and also advised me that the situation was not right and they will do everything to fix it.
