We heard about this place on a list of the top hot dogs for every state. They were listed as number one in the state! We checked out their website and everything looked so good and exciting, we couldn't wait to stop by. Today we came in and became obsessed! Everyone was friendly, service was fast, plenty of seating (we are a family of 5)... now onto the dogs-- we tried the crafty, south Carolina and fully loaded. Everyone's dogs looked really good and when we all took our first bites we were impressed. The combinations are perfect! The slaw on the south Carolina adds great texture. The buns are soft but also toasted which is nice. The dogs themselves taste really high quality and I love how they are cooked. The fries were tasty, especially the truffle oil fries. We all devoured the dogs and felt really satisfied, but not overly full. It was a perfect amount of food and for the price you pay, I think you get more than your money's worth. We tried the smores churros for dessert which were a yummy combination of both crunchy, soft and creamy! All in all.. we were very impressed and cannot wait to come back. With all the choices of toppings, you could come back each time and try something new. I have no doubt all of their dogs are just as tasty. A friendly employee even came up to us at the end of our visit to ask us what we thought and welcomed us back. I thought that was very nice and you can't beat customer service like that. I can tell they really enjoy what they do and care about satisfying customers. Quality, service and taste are a...
Read moreYesterday was my first day at Urban Hotdog. I was craving a hot dog but my challenge has always been finding someone who fix turkey hot dogs especially since I do not eat red meat. Well, when I came across Urban Hotdog I was really excited with all the extra toppings you could add. I decided to order Jive with crunchy onion strings. The first thing that I was amazed at was the amount of time it took to cook a hot dog. Normally hot dogs are already prepared and might only take a few minutes to put together, toast and service...not at Urban Hotdog. It took well over 20 minutes to be served a hot dog and crunchy onion strings. Some might say, well they were busy. There were a total of 3 couples ahead of me that were waiting to be served. Now the fun part comes in. After receiving my order, I felt like the lady off the Wendy's commercial, "WHERE'S THE BEEF." The turkey dog was so small, I walked away feeling like I ordered a bun with toppings. My suggestion is, if turkey dogs are going to be much smaller than other dogs ... the price should be cut in 1/2. Last, the onion strings were either battered with too much flour or not fully cooked. I felt like I had a mouth full of flour, but the dipping sauce was amazing :). Oh yeah, for a bun served with toppings and a container full of flour my total came to $9.40. I think Urban Hotdog has a great idea, the people are friendly and ambiance is on point. The food and prices must improve and then maybe I will be a...
Read more1st time coming here and there was alot of choices to choose from. I saw two things that I was torn on ordering..one was called "Le Bleu" it's bacon wrapped, fried w/sauteed mushrooms, bleu cheese and thyme or the "Havana" which is a split pork sausage, grilled with Swiss cheese filled with black forest ham in a grilled bun and dressed with raspberry jam, spicy mustard and a pickle spear. I asked the friendly gentleman behind the counter what he would suggest out of the two....he said they are both very good but the raspberry jam on the "Havana" puts it over the edge. Well I ordered the "Havana" 😁 Oh my..it was very good. The sausage and ham was a great combo and the raspberry added just the right sweetness. I savored every bite and I will say I am going to return again for it. I do still want to try "Le Bleu"...however if the rest of the menu tastes as good as the 1st it all will be great. I recommend this place for sure and the service was definitely with a smile, Sean was amazing. He even came to my table after a bit and asked me what I thought. I thanked him for his recommendation. He was a very nice guy, very outgoing and very easy to talk with. With service and taste like that I don't mind spending my hard earned money there. This place is a bit hard to see as it is not on a very busy road however, easy direction is that it is behind Wal-Mart on Coors and McMahon in a little shopping center. Stop by and...
