Weck's — Restaurant in Albuquerque

When we arrived at the Riverside location on Saturday morning they were somewhat busy, we ordered as soon as we were seated. The waitress then continued on to other tables and proceeded to spend 10-15 minutes taking 3 tables orders. We had ordered coffee and it took 20 minutes to just get coffee. We had to chase down our server just to get a refill of coffee, When food started coming out the tables that she went to after us got their food order 10 minutes before we actually got ours. By the time we got our meal, which was now 35 minutes of waiting for our meal, it arrived COLD to the touch. Instead of telling the server, we just ate it because we didn't want to wait for another 35 minutes. Never once did a manager or anyone asked us how our meal was while we were seated. We asked for our check so we could just pay and leave. At the register I paid for our meal and asked to speak to the manager. He came up and I explained to him that the meal wasn't satisfactory, he made excuses to numerous to me to mention and asked if I had my ticket, I told him I had already paid for my meal and just wanted him to know. He gave me a card for complimentary meals and said my wife and I could use it any of their locations for our meal and he apologized again. Well I went to another location to order something for both my wife and I and found out the card was only for ONE meal, so not only did i pay $40 for a meal that we didn't care for. This restaurant came highly recommended and they did not disappoint! My hubby, my sister, and I visited for breakfast and my sister had the veggies papas with an add on of avocado, and it was soooooo delicious! I literally was coveting her food so badly!! I stuck with the basics—eggs sausage patty and a short stack. It was good, nothing extraordinary, but good. My hubby had the bacon egg combo with a waffle, and his sentiment was exactly like mine. Good but nothing extraordinary. The service however?? INCREDIBLE! Probably some of the best customer service I’ve experienced in a long while. Our waitress, Meiah, was so attentive, knowledgeable and kind. Amazing service!! The manager, Daniel stopped by the table to say hello and brought us a sample of their delicious breakfast cinnamon roll. Soooo good! The next time, I will definitely go for the items on the menu that they’re known for! That’s their papas!!! All around good breakfast spot and we look forward to going back the next time we’re in...

Wecks to the rescue.I haven’t been in a long time but damn. When I get the sloppy papas it comes with meat. Today it came with as many as I can count on two hands. And if you know that size of a sloppy papas plate . It’s big. So to only see maybe 10 little cuts of meat on a plate I paid 24$ for with a coffe and tea. That is awful. When I got home and saw what was in the box I cooked some bacon to add to my breakfast. I came back and the manager was very apologetic and said he would fix it right away and add extra meat. My coffee also had grounds in the bottom which was the straw that made me come back. Normally I would have just left it alone and been okay with what I got and cooked my own bacon. But the coffee grounds sent me over. I’m glad he was nice enough to help me out and fix the order.

Ps the manager gave me extra meat on the side extra green chile and a new coffee. I feel much better....
