Okay, before I get into this, I'm only referring to this location. I've said it before, this place is one of the worse places to take your family to eat, or anyone for that matter. The burger is good, but that's the least amount of praise I'll give this restaurant. The employees are very disrespectful and quite careless. Me and my family walked in, we ordered and for 3 people, our price was over 40 dollars. We got 1 small burger and 2 regular cheeseburgers, 1 large fry, and 3 regular sized cups. Normally this price would be passable, given that this location used to be pretty good. Me and my family get our drinks and sit down. 30 minutes later we still don't have our food. We are the ONLY customers in the restaurant for the past 20 minutes at this point. We are in plain view of the employees and they just watched as we waited for our food for 30 minutes. Frustrated, I walk up to the counter and ask what the issue is...they gave me and my family's order away to door dash almost as soon as we sat down, so who knows how long we would have waited for before anyone behind the counter acknowledged us. Any caring restaurant would have given a coupon, discount, or a free item(s) as compensation for the wait. We got nothing of the sort and we also got attitude in return (so it goes without saying we did not get an apology). Of course I've had bad days at work but other customers did not get the same treatment, so it cannot go unsaid. Five Guys is famous for offering (what I assume to be all you can eat) peanuts to their customers, but (from what I assume is because of COVID19) there were no peanuts offered. So instead of portion control as a viable option to slow the spread of covid, they had none (the peanuts is something that attracted me to the store in the first place, it helps make up for the price point, and ensures you won't leave hungry). So we've been disappointed 3 times since we entered the store, but it gets worse. After the food finally comes to the table, our fries weren't filled up all the way. Any other time I've been to this location, the fries are overflowing and there is half a cup or more in the bottom of the bag (again, making up for the price point). One of the burgers we ordered had a patty so small that it was hardly bigger than a silver dollar. This caused my mother to eat trail mix out of a can on our way home because she didn't get enough to eat in store. Maybe in time I will return, but until I know things are back to how they used to be, I will not be back, and everyone that used to come with me to this location will be informed about the condition of the service and the store. Will this affect the store much, no. But if I can get the word out, maybe something...
Read moreMy first review. I really enjoy eating at restaurants and in the past have had some great experiences and food at this particular 5 Guys. That all came to an abrupt end today. I realize that Covid might have something to do with some of the experience that was not the usual for this 5 Guys, but nonetheless, this is what I thought of it, having loved the things that are no longer part of this 5 Guys and what made at least half of the previous experiences so great.
The Good:
The fries and burgers were still tasty and the server that took our order was good.
The Bad:
They used to have peanuts to snack on while waiting for your food. This was something that my family and I loved about the 5 Guys experience. Something that would have taken at least some of the sting away from what happen in number (3.1).
3.1 We were the only ones in the restaurant waiting for food for about 20 minutes or more. There was only one other mother and son at another table that already had their food. One guy came in for a door dash about half way through our waiting, got some stuff and left. The workers in the restaurants were all in the kitchen, including one guy who looked like the manager who was at the registers counting change and stuff. All of them could see us sitting there waiting and nobody seemed to even second guess why we were there with drinks and condiments, but no food to put them on. The girl on the grill was just cleaning it, the girl on the fries was just walking around. Another girl and guy looked like they were restocking lettuce and buns and such. We finally went up to them to see were our food was and they quickly determined that the guy that came in for the door dash had taken it to, what was surely some soon to be unhappy customers. Then we had to wait another 10 minutes to get our food.
3.2 No apologies were ever given by anyone.
The large fries that you used to get would spill out into the bag and feed our family of 3 as a side to our burgers. This large order of fries didn't even reach the top of the cup. This was also one of the things that my family and I loved, that made our previous experiences so nice! We basically shared what amounted to a tastier version of "medium sized order of Mc Donald's" fries.
My wife's hamburger pattie was maybe the size of a silver dollar pancake?
Over all, the $40 we spent on our meal was not even close to worth it. That's really sad, because we really used to love going to 5 Guys...
Read moreHorrible service. All of the workers minus one seemed to have no sense of urgency with at least 15 customers waiting for food. To top it all off the young man at the fry station was only dropping one fryer at a time while having the other three baskets hanging there. He kept putting bags on a shelf for the orders that needed fries at one point he had wracked up 5-7 bags while still only cooking one batch of fries at a time! Another guy making the food seemed more occupied with chatting with a customer who bu judging my the conversation was a friend. I waited 20 mins waiting for a order that was suppose to be ready at 8:46 and did not leave until after 9. Despite this at least one worker had a sense of urgency and seemed to have wanted to work. Vincent was awesome. He was hopping around to the burger station, the food line, and the fry station where he finally dropped more than one basket of fries and started kicking out orders the orders the other guy had stacked up waiting on fries. He finally got to my order and apologized for my wait and was great. He deserves a raise and...
