This location has gone downhill. I took 3 of my kids to eat and decided to dine inside. We walk up to the counter, expecting to place an order, only to have 3 visible workers standing and looking down at their phones. I had to announce myself several times before someone even looked up and pointed to the kiosk.
Not a "Welcome to McDonald's, how may we help you?", or a "Hello, we are now accepting all dine-in orders at the kiosk". Service is horrible. I walked over to the kiosk to make my order and was forced to download an application and create an account. After that time-suck, I placed my order and picked the toys my children wanted. I am paying cash, and the kiosk does not accept cash. The kiosk instructs me to "grab a number" and "head to the counter" to finish paying. There are no "numbers' readily available to "grab" and nobody at the counter. After announcing myself several times again to the 2 female workers who were staring at their phones, I was acknowledged with a "WHAT?". I told them I needed to pay cash and that I don't know what "number" it is asking for. A younger male informed me to put "any number" or to "make up a number" and then to print out the ticket and bring back to the counter.
After that hassle an ordeal, the food and drinks started to come out, but the employees didn't know where to bring it as their are apparently table numbers that are used and the employees were unaware, or didn't care. I'd assume the latter given the lack of customer service throughout the whole establishment.
We get our food and the toys my children selected were incorrect. I went to the front desk again, had to announce myself again, got looked at like I was being difficult after asking where the Inside Out 2 toys were that were on the kiosk I was forced to order from.
This place needs a revamp. Teach your employees BASIC customer service. When your employees look at the front counter (the make on the fry station), and see someone visibly waiving their hands and asking for help, they should tell someone, or maybe acknowledge the customer, at the very least, and NOT look back at the computer screen and stand there quietly. This was not just me either, there was another lady in there with her kids who had the same issue as me with the "Grab a number" instructions at the kiosk.
As a paying customer, it's ridiculous to walk in a place and be treated like we don't matter. It reminds me why I'd rather go to Chic-Fil-A, Burger King or Wendy's. Customers get greeted and acknowledged as soon as they step in the door. If a customer is waiting at the front counter, employees don't rush to the back to hide so they don't have to help someone.
Whoever runs this store, you should watch some video of your employees and how they act while you're paying them on the clock. I don't know when society started thinking it was acceptable to use your phone at work while in customer service and being paid, but it's unacceptable and down right rude. Employees are literally stealing time and getting paid for it. Wild. You'd be surprised. I know I am. I will not be back to...
Read moreDO NOT ATTEND THIS MCDONALDS!!! THEY DISCRIMINATE!!! My husband and I stopped by this McDonald’s one night to grab a bite to eat. I was feeling pretty tired so I just had my husband run in and get me a sandwich. He couldn’t find any shoes in the car but figured that wouldn’t be a problem since we had just planned on getting our food and leaving. Well, once my husband got inside they refused him service because he wasn’t wearing any shoes. (Now for those of you who aren’t completely familiar with the structure around “no shoes, no service” please look at the photo at the bottom that explains things.) My husband is a well dressed man. That night he was wearing some khakis and a button up and some socks. Anyhow, he eventually got the cashier to let him purchase food. However, when his food was ready the manager would NOT give it to him. After arguing and asking for a refund, the food was FINALLY given to my husband with a side of obscenities. They harassed my husband all the way out the door and the proceeded to threaten him and try and lay their hands on him. At this point, I’m out of the car trying to keep the employees from assaulting my husband. Eventually, he got into the car and I locked the doors quickly and drove off. 10 minutes down the road we noticed his phone was missing. THEY HAD STOLEN HIS PHONE! I have the Tile app. (Helps you find things when you lose them. Ex: phone, keys, wallet.) I pinged his phone and it was at an address a few minutes from the McDonald’s. I rang the door bell and spoke to a young man who insisted that he didn’t take the phone. I asked for his phone number and name just in case. As we were leaving, I pinged the phone again and it was heading back towards the McDonald’s! So now, we are having to follow his phone down highway 75 and eventually back to the McDonald’s. I decided to go through the drive through to avoid any more unnecessary harassment. I pulled up to the speaker and told the young man that I was aware of the stolen phone and would like it back. I told him that if the phone wasn’t going to be returned to us that I would call the cops and press charges. He wouldn’t speak to me. He kept saying “One second” over and over and eventually I got tired of waiting. I went to park in a spot and noticed a police officer had just arrived. I approached the officers asking for help but they decided to be of no help to me whatsoever. However, they did find my husband completely broken and shattered phone. The service I received that evening, I believe, tops all bad reviews that I’ve been reading for this McDonald’s. So, if you would like to be assaulted, cursed at, and stolen from... then welcome to the McDonald’s off 75 and McDermott! Where they don’t just take your order, but they take...
Read moreI went through the drive thru at McDonald's located at 104 Central Expressway in Allen, Tx and was instructed that I would need to come inside to purchase the gift card. No biggie. I asked the cashier if I could pull up and park in the part of the drive thru that is used for waiting for drive thru food and he said sure. I pulled forward and parked my car. On my way in I hit a black, slimey, greasy spot that caused my left foot to come out from under me and I fell to the ground. A customer in the drive thru line saw me but did nothing. Once I stood up they drove away.
I walked inside to get my gift card but before I did I proceeded to tell the lady behind the counter that I slipped and fell pretty hard outside and her reply was, "oops!". I was a little flabbergasted and even mentioned that was not the reaction I expected. When I told her I needed a gift card she went to look for someone to help her. When someone did help her I told them that I told the original lady that I was dealing with that I slipped and fell pretty hard outside and that her reply was "oops!". The second lady's reply wasn't any better because she laughed. I proceeded to tell both ladies how inappropriate their responses to a customer were.
It wasn't funny and it wasn't an "oops" moment. I told them I was not ok with the fact that they completely disregarded the fact that I fell. No apologies were given, no compassion shown, no nothing. When I talked to a third lady about needing the store managers name she answered two minutes later in a tone that sounded like a question with "Maria" and a shoulder shrug.
When I dealt with a lady at corporate she was just as cold! I went back after work to fill out an incident report and you could clearly see on the ground where I slipped and fell. I took pictures of the area! It wasn't cleaned and was left for someone else to fall from. No on from corporate has contacted me, no one has given an apology, heck no one offered a compensated drink or anything. I am completely flabbergasted at the lack of humanity, empathy, care and compassion from every single person I have had to deal with. I will now be taking my issue to...
