Terrible experience, 10+ minute wait, there was no way to reserve a table or put your name/number in with the host. Sodas were flat/no carbonation or syrup. When I got a new drink, it was never refilled. There was more help staff than customers. However, no one came to check on us after bringing new drinks. Several other guests received food while we waited that were seated after us. Eventually left because neither the food nor the waitress came back after waiting an additional 20 minutes for an omelete. Go to Wendy's or firehouse next to this place.
** update We didn't get a chance to put our name in with the "host/ owner" because she never took our names or information and said it would be a 10 - 15 minute wait. Yelp had decent reviews but didnt seem busy enough to reserve a table. Let two couples go ahead of us that arrived after us( my girlfriend and I) before we headed back inside. To our surprise, there was a table all of a sudden. It's a 4000 sq ft establishment with 4 to 5 empty tables, and what we could count was 8, maybe 9 waitresses. It's great to know that our drinks were removed, but no one had informed us of that until this post. My macchiato was cold. I didn't realize they don't give refills on water. That's good to know, and yet another reason to go to firehouse they give free water and refills on it. I did read reviews, and is actually why I decided on this place. I was hoping the bad reviews were one-offs. Other customers should get their food before us if they came in before us. We knew what we wanted when we got replacement drinks. You being the owner saw us get replacement drinks but couldn't put your phone down long enough to come apologize and introduce yourself as management. I'm so sorry we thought you were a highschopler with lazy habits, And if you go listen or watch your camera you'll see you were the 1 of 4 not doing anything and you'll hear me say something about it coming from a kitchen managers standpoint, But what would I know only worked in the industry for 10 years.
I actually prefer to wait outside in the elements the hot and cold and don't mind doing so since I'm a smoker. If the food is as fresh as the soda and coffee, I'm 100% satisfied with my decision on leaving. Clearly, this owner would rather be a screen warrior than train and help her employees.
Did i walk out? Yes, I couldn't get my water refilled, didn't see my waitress, and I didn't see the host set her phone down long enough to say anything. Wasn't until my gf was half way out the door and I reached the door did anyone say have a great day.
I won't be back to this place is all I know , read Mr David Bounds review sounds like...
Read moreWORST WAITRESS EVER. Context: I am 7 months pregnant (CLEARLY). And I took out my Godson and his parents for breakfast. It was very busy and we happened to send back a majority of our food. The chicken fried chicken was like a fried wafer. The eggs Benedict had like hard boiled eggs on top. And the biscuits and gravy we got for the table was like an English muffin covered in gravy. Having said that, I had pancakes that were awesome. The coffee was great and so was the orange juice. The first thing we sent back. The waitress said “okay”, didn’t ask what was wrong or offer to remake anything. Whatever. Then my godsons parents wanted to send back their chicken and Benedict. The mom took maybe three bites of her food because she really didn’t want to send back a bunch of food. (We’ve both worked in the service industry before we started our careers.) But we end up asking our waitress to take their two plates. She says, “I’ll take the chicken but you ate half the Benedict.” To my friend with an infant! Doesn’t ask if we want something else, just basically says she’s not taking the food back. So I said, “hey I’m not paying for it she didn’t eat it.” Waitress leaves and we only have Pancakes, a coffee and orange juice on the table. She doesn’t come back for a while. We sit there awkwardly and hungry. When she does come back, I again just try to be nice but we are ready to leave. I ask for the check and a Togo box. She takes forever doing that. Then won’t let me see the bill. Tells me she’s only comping 50% of the food we DIDNT EAT. And I’m like “uh hey that’s weird no, I’m not paying for food we didn’t eat.” AGAIN she argues. So then I’m like, “no and if I need to talk to a manager fine”. She says, “no whatever I’ll do it.” Doesn’t let me see the bill again (my fault) and runs my card and walks away. It’s 45$ and I tipped. I’m like “wait did she just charge me and lied”. So I wait. My friends with my godson goes to the car. I walk up to the counter. The waitresss wants to argue when I ask for the receipt bc she overcharged me. She’s super mean. AND IM SEVEN MONTHS PREGNANT OBVIOUSLY. The manager or someone interrupts and takes over the conversation. She was definitely apologetic. She gives me my money back. Then asks me if I’m still willing to pay for the pancakes, orange juice and coffee. We ate it so I was like “sure”. But like also kinda weird considering how crazy our server was. 26$ and I left no tip. Genuinely the craziest server experience I have ever had in my life. Will actively tell people to avoid this place because of...
Read moreDined here on Sunday, May 5th. We were a party of four and quickly seated. Waiter and hostess were both nice and everything was going good for a while until we realized other people were getting food before us. Nearly an hour later, and only after inquiring about our food, we received our order.
The pancakes were undercooked, eggs were either under cooked or over cooked. The omelette was definitely not an omelet. The Iron Man was clearly runny, had maybe 3 leaves of spinach and no feta cheese. Runny egg whites are repulsive and can absolutely cause health issues. This needs to be managed.
We waited another good ten minutes for the owner/ manager to come speak to us. In which case, she was completely rude and went as far as telling us that we don't own a business, so we don't know what it is like. She doesn’t know us. She doesn’t know that we may very well own a business. Furthermore, she insisted that her customers like the food the way it was presented to us (undercooked). Who speaks/shouts at their customers like that!?
Her attitude towards people who are dissatisfied in any manner is what will bring this place down. There are simply better ways to handle things like this. Upon reading her response to other negative comments, anyone can see she makes it a point to degrade others. Had we not been wearing a hijab, our beliefs would not have even been brought up. I’m not sure if the business owners are Muslim, but this was so wrong to even bring up in a review response!
Clearly, her care is about the money for food which was sub par and mostly untouched. The waiter - yes, he definitely deserves a tip especially with how he is running around trying to handle a full restaurant. We really only saw him running around taking orders. Perhaps, hire more people to lighten his load so he can properly serve a table, or close down until you can actually service...
