On 7/2 we placed an order thru Uber eats. I live in Allen so since the pandemic affected businesses and employees I tried to support the restaurants in the area. I live close to 121 so there is another FH closer to where I live but I wanted to give the on in McDermott a try. I regret that decision. They were not taking the necessary precautions to keep the food safe thru the delivery. Other places seal the bag or containers, this restaurant didn't do that. The food got here cold, the bag open. When I called the manager of the store, I was trying to understand their process on delivery, and she being rude and unprofessional told me that corporate didn't provide stickers and they were not responsible for third parties orders, I explain to her that she is the face of the restaurant and her employees, I asked how she will if she put herself on my shoes and I was buying food for my kids, she answered disrespectfully and said, "well, I don't have kids and it is corporate that didn't provide the stickers, that they don't have (there was a rectangular sticker holding the receipt) and I have to take care of the customers and then hung up the phone. I called corporate to investigate why the sticker was not provided to the restaurants as a safety measure and they said that they had stickers (which I already knew). Long story short, this restaurant in McDermott (Not Firehouse Corporate) apparently dont care much about their customers and how to serve them, they just lost not only a customer, probably way more than that since my family and friends are doing the same thing on "rotating restaurants" to help the...
Read moreI will start off by saying MY sandwich was fine, my review is more based on service and attitudes and serving size/price ratio. I came in with what I was made to feel like, was a complicated inconvenient request. I wanted a sandwich and my young daughter just wanted a side of brisket. I guess my cashier was possibly in training, he was nice but informed me he’d have to ask how to do that. So the lady he brings over just seemed like this was so inconvenient. She winds up ringing up a sandwich and taking things off of it one by one. (No bread, no mayo, no cheese) the whole time she’s making utterances to the young man that I can only assume is supposed to be learning, I hear her saying things like, just put the bbq on the side because that doesn’t make sense. In the end, this shrimpy side of meat wound up costing $6.... ($5.99 was the actual price, because they charged me for a whole dang small Smokehouse cheddar sandwich) I included a picture of the amount of meat I got.... I just couldn’t believe how little it was, this should have been like $3.00 or so TOPS.
Then I asked for a pickle that should have come with this “sandwich”, the lady couldn’t understand me I guess, it was apparent she didn’t speak good English. She told me it was by the “coca machine”... mmm yeah, no.... I gave up...
Read moreAllen, Tx location at 503 McDermont I had the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They did not say anything to me when I walked in. I asked about a pickup online order and a blonde girl pointed to a small corner at the door with an attitude and asked if I had checked there. I went and checked and it was not and I told her. She did not acknowledge me, so I proceeded to get my chips and had to grab my own drink cups because none of the 3 women there cares to acknowledge or offer to get them or ask if I needed anything else. I got my drinks and chips and went and checked for my order again and it was now over there. I figured they could atleast ask if the order they were making was mine or say they just put another order in their tiny little Togo area but they did not. I left and they still did not say a word as I walked out the door. Their customer service and manners were seriously lacking. This is not my normal store I go to, the two other locations I do are awesome and so helpful. I will not be back...
