Taco Bell — Restaurant in Allen

There's a few reasons I rate this store & any Taco Bell 3 stars is because 1) I'm almost 46 yrs old & @ age 15, Taco Bell was my very first job, that was in the mid-late 80s. Back then Taco Bell served every single menu item FRESH!! Everything from grating cheese, cooking many pounds of ground beef, chopping all veggies fresh to sorting pinto beans then cooking them! There was ALWAYS a line of customers out the door around the building waiting & the drive thru was packed! I worked there several years until I joined the Army. When I came back to work there again things had changed. The QUALITY of the food has suffered greatly because the company went from fresh to everything prepackaged when delivered to the stores. Basically chased the $$ & sacrificed the quality. I'll still eat there occasionally. Because I know first hand how the food is prepared I'll usually order for example a Nacho Supreme but "deconstructed" if I'm in the drive thru. Then I'll put it all together when I get home. I'll never eat the "beef" again. The beans arrive at the store as powdered then they add water. However, the taste of them is still pretty good if the store actually keeps them hydrated & stirred. You'll know the difference if you order something w/beans & they're creamy smooth vs. a lump of thick beans. I was a manager when I left the company many years ago but to this day I still firmly believe they could didnt have to do a complete 180°on the quality of food to speed up service. Ian deserves a raise!

We came in at around 9pm on Wednesday night. We paid through the kiosk, as the staff were busy with drive thru orders. We got our order and started eating. I was two slices into my quesadilla when my husband said, “didn’t you get a drink?”

I had, but I hadn’t received the cup.

I went up to the counter and waited my turn after another gentleman was getting his order. I locked eyes with one of the kitchen staff. I said to him that I just needed a large cup because it hadn’t been with our order. The kitchen member who was still standing in the kitchen pointed to Ian, and said his name to get his attention. (Ian was running the drive thru at that moment) This team member then signaled for Ian to assist me. Ian was in the middle of an order, and motioned if I could give him “one second.” I’ve been in this industry before, so I motioned back, “no problem”.

The first gentleman I had originally engaged with, was now standing idle behind the counter. He had started to prepare to do something, but then went slack and just stood there with his back to me. I noted this.

Once Ian was available to assist me, I simply mentioned that I hadn’t received my large cup. He grabbed it for me and continued to the next drive thru customer.

I was perplexed that the first guy pushed my request off to the guy who was busy helping other people, while he was not doing anything.

Just this interaction was noticeable.

Not a satisfying service at all (Should be zero or negative stars) . Instead of they missing the dipping sauses for 4 rolled chicken tacos, when I went back and requested, they gave a strange look that I am asking for free and gave me only one after making me to wait for sometime.

When I told two are missing (WHICH I supposed to get with order) the lady said OK and never returned back to the desk. When I asked the sound lady she again gave a strange look and asked me to show the empty dipping cup. So disgusting and annoying service. Again I have to wait and got the second sause finally. But by that time the food already went cold and they are good only when it is hot.. Waste of time and money.

I also have similar bad experience when I ordered a in store pickup couple of times and when I went to store there used to be no package and when asked, they used to say there is no Order on such name, when I showed the order in my mobile, they used to give a strangr feeling and told they never received it.

Beware of this store for such type of missing food occurances. Luckily both times, I just order couple of tacos not so expensive price.

Apart from this, location is at good place and food they serve is also good (based on other visit experience)
