We went in around 9:50, and a group of 7 or 8 kids came in about five minutes after us. We hadn't been taken care of yet as they were finishing up with people ahead of us, but when one of the workers was finally free they walked right past my girlfriend and I and started taking care of the group. She even specifically asked the group "are you guys all together", implying she was planning to handle their whole crew....while the two of us just stood there wondering what was going on.
Personally, I assumed one of her co-workers was going to handle us next and handle just the two of us quick while she handled the group. Nope. He never finished doing whatever it was he was doing for the people ahead of us. When a member of the group behind us got his ice cream and paid while we just stood there, I finally spoke up.
She was on her way to the next person in the group BEHIND us, when I tried to explain that we were just standing there waiting. Her response? She immediately blamed us for the snafu. Somehow, we had made a serious error in judgement, etiquette, and manners by simply walking into the entrance of the establishment and patiently waiting to pay for icecream. It was probably our fault the group behind us showed up at all, too.
We left, with no ice cream, when she kept telling us it was our fault she ignored us. One of the most idiotic customer-service experiences I've ever had. We went to Vons and bought Magnum ice cream bars and Ben & Jerry's, instead.
Never going to this site again. That girl is terrible at her job. Just awful. If they allow that kind of behavior in their employees, what else is...
Read moreCold Stone Creamery at 1570 S Harbor Blvd, Anaheim, is perfectly located, making it a great stop after a fun day at Disneyland. The ice cream here is rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. What really makes it special is the ability to customize your treat — they mix the ice cream and toppings right in front of you on a cold granite slab, which keeps everything perfectly chilled. The waffle cones are freshly made, crispy, and have that delicious buttery aroma that pairs perfectly with the creamy ice cream.
I tried the Founder's Favorite with sweet cream ice cream, brownies, caramel, pecans, and fudge — it was heavenly! The ice cream was smooth and had just the right amount of sweetness, while the brownies were moist and chewy, creating a perfect contrast with the crunchy pecans. The caramel and fudge added a rich, indulgent finish that tied everything together beautifully.
The staff were super friendly and efficient, even though the line was long. They worked quickly while still making sure every order was prepared with care. The variety of flavors and toppings is impressive — from fruity options to chocolatey indulgence — so there's something for everyone.
Overall, Cold Stone Creamery is not just about the ice cream; it’s the whole experience of watching them prepare your treat and enjoying the delicious, creamy result. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area — it’s the perfect sweet ending to a day at...
Read moreThe ice cream is wonderful but they do not accept travel debit/credit cards or travellers cheques, so they don't seem to want tourists unless you have cash or regular credit cards. Annoyingly they don't warn you at all until you reach the register, after they have made the ice cream combos. When the staff are asked about it they just roll their eyes at you like you're just another stupid tourist, offering that they can't trust the card if your name is not printed on it which makes no sense at all as the business gets paid regardless and how would they know if it's my name anyway?
So management have set up the staff to fail by not warning customers before the ice creams are made, and not training the staff on how to handle the situation (I guess it's a big surprise to management that you get over seas tourists visiting Disneyland so why train your staff to deal with them?). This results in a nonsensical excuse and a staff culture that looks down on the customer when the customer questions the stores payment options. Luckily for them they probably don't need...
