As someone originally from the South Bay area, I’ve long held high standards when it comes to Indian cuisine, with a favorite local spot I thought could never be replaced. After moving to Orange County three years ago, I’ve explored several Indian restaurants in search of that familiar, exceptional quality — but nothing quite captured the essence of what I was missing. That is, until I discovered Masala Craft.
From the moment I arrived, the experience was inviting. The restaurant was spacious and clean, offering a comfortable dining atmosphere, though it was fairly quiet when I visited on a Sunday afternoon around 4 p.m. (a hidden gem, in my opinion, that deserves far more foot traffic).
The standout of the meal was, without question, the Chicken Tikka Masala. Rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced, it delivered the nostalgic comfort I had been longing for — instantly taking me back to the flavors I missed from my South Bay favorite. Paired with basmati rice (simple but well-cooked) and an extraordinary garlic naan, the meal was unforgettable. The naan deserves a special mention: it was premium quality, buttery, and laced with just the right amount of garlic — perfectly baked without any of that chewy texture you often find elsewhere.
Adding to the experience was our incredible server, Prabh, who handled the dining room with grace and attentiveness despite being the only waiter on the floor at the time. She was friendly, efficient, and made sure we were consistently taken care of, all while managing multiple tasks behind the scenes — a testament to her professionalism and care.
Masala Craft is truly a gem for anyone in Orange County craving authentic Indian flavors. After trying several other Indian restaurants in the area, none came close — until now. I’m thrilled to have found a new go-to spot that not only matches but even rivals the memories I have of my old favorite back home.
I’ll definitely be returning, and I hope more people discover Masala Craft and give them the recognition they deserve. If you’re looking for authentic, delicious Indian cuisine with exceptional service, this is the...

Every dish was a masterclass in flavor, texture, and presentation. The chefs' attention to detail and passion for Indian cuisine shine through in every bite.
The Butter Chicken was sublime - tender, juicy chicken in a rich, creamy tomato sauce that was both tangy and sweet. The Chicken Kadhai was a revelation, with its perfect balance of spices and a hint of smokiness. The Shahi Paneer was a creamy, indulgent delight, with the paneer melting in my mouth like a cloud.
The Okra Masala was a pleasant surprise, with its crispy, non-slimy okra and a flavorful sauce that complemented the dish perfectly. And the breads? Garlic Naan and Butter Roti were freshly baked and utterly divine, perfect for sopping up the delicious sauces.
The service was attentive, knowledgeable, and warm, making our experience even more exceptional. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, perfect for a night out with friends or a romantic evening.

Read moreFood was amazing, but it ends there. They messed up our order not once, but both the times we went there. We asked for 1 spicy aloo paratha and 1 bland, but they made them both bland. When asked which one is spicy, the person tried to dodge the question, later since we kept asking, the chef said none were spicy. We asked for the daal to be spicy, but again, it was medium spice! Nevertheless the less, dal was good even though it wasn’t made to our taste. Paneer butter masala were yumm, roti and kulcha were soft and nice.
We then placed a to go order the next day at 9:45 PM and picked it up at 11:55 only to realize that they just made 1 biryani and the rest of the order was not made because they were out on dough! They neither informed us nor substituted the order, once we reached the restaurant, they said that they’ll make something else if we could wait. We were so damn tired that we didn’t have the time and energy to wait. So we ended up sharing 1 person’s food amongst 4 of us. The next day when we called their main restaurant which took our to-go order, they were extremely rude and spoke as if we were at fault. First of all they messed up our dine in order, then messed up our to-go order and then didn’t have basic mannerism on how to address an issue. Will never ever go there, nor recommend this restaurant especially when there are so many...
