So I just went to eat here with my family. The girl that took my my order wrote it On Two pieces of sheets (the little green order pads) when she forgot to give the second one to the cook. Since they had a Pupusas deal for take out orders we took our order out. We decided to eat it in a near by park. I called to let them know my order was short after figuring out that what was missing was written on the last piece of paper and still being hungry we decided to go and dine in. As soon as we walked in the cook yelled very did you bring back the food? I got closer to the counter and giggles as I said no we ate it. The gave me the dirtiest look. So I asked the girl that she forgot to give the cook all of my order. She yelled and blamed me for making her mess up. She told me if you wouldn’t of ordered the special you would have had the correct order. Wow, I wondered what the hostility was about. So I decided to tell her well I just want to reorder the Pupusas that were missing from my order and pay for them. We like to dine in as well since it was already passed 8. The cook once again yelling from the back putting her two cents I. Told me sure but you will need to wait 1:45 minutes for the 4 Pupusas I wanted. (In a mocking voice) by then I still asked politely why? I been here since 6:30 and it’s only 4 Pupusas. That’s when the cook and told me if I didn’t like it to leave. I never felt so humiliated. The place is not the cleanest and the decoration needs help, but the food is a 6.5 and since I moved to HB I found this place and I been coming here. The customer service is bad but I deal with it but today I had enough. As I walked away as she yelled how I do anything for free food. No lady I am more than willing to pay for everything i am eating and ordering. Face it you forgot to placed the second sheet the last...
Read moreI'm not Salvadorean. I tried pupusas 10 years ago in South Central LA where there's a lot of Central American restaurants but was not impressed. I hadn't tried pupusas ever since until one of my romantically involved girlfriends who's Salvadorean took me here to get pupusas. I became addicted after that. Cant go wrong coming here on Tuesdays when they're only a buck-fity each. Its best to get food from here when the middle-aged lady is making them because they're perfectly formed. But when it's mama's day off and the daughter in her 20s is making them, they tend to be blown out with the fillings spilled out. Hahahaha But it's all good. I appreciate this...
Read moreThey close at 9pm. Arrived at 8 and the rude lady looked so upset to see us and just said orders to go only we are closing at 9. One hour before closing. Nobody else there ordering at the moment.
its not just bad customer service, these ladies genuinely looked upset they had to get to work and don't mind showing it to you. I don't know their situation I just know the experience I had.
spend $60 in oily food that took 30 minutes to get done and just thrown in aluminum wrap, not even a box. Not even close to good pupusas anyway.
Not a place worth your time,...
