Sangria's has raised the bar on what we've come to expect from a Mexican restaurant. There used to be a place off of College, just over the tracks, that I wanted to compare this with initially..After eating, however, I found myself lacking for comparisons. Most places don't seem to understand spicy food..they either have it all "hot" or the heat is lacking all together. I had the Macho Burrito, in it's full glory, and was ready to be disappointed by the heat..Instead I found my favorite Mexican dish to date! Combined with the Cactus salad and refried beans as my sides, I couldn't imagine changing it in any way. My wife had been wanting to try fish tacos for a while now and couldn't have picked a better time to do so..The Blackened Tamarind Salmon Tacos instantly became one of the best dishes she's ever had. I didn't try it myself, but for those who enjoy something on the sweet side, and have a love of Salmon, you can't go wrong with this. All of this on the back of great service, wonderful presentation, and a charming atmosphere leave me longing for an occasion to return soon. Speaking of occasions, you will find this place has their own style of Birthday celebrations as well, far from typical. Thanks for a great experience!

I’m from Chicago and this was my first time coming to this restaurant and I cannot believe the lack of respect this restaurant had for me and my family. Brittany was our waitress and she was SO slow. They made our food incorrectly (we are vegetarians) so obviously we asked for it to be remade. Brittany and this other waiter, Phil, had the audacity to stand right next to us and talk smack about us. We overheard them saying “should we just grill some veggies and throw it on top of their food?” My brother in law turned and said “Are you really going to talk about us while we are sitting right here?”, they looked at us, rolled their eyes, and continued. THEY CONTINUED talking about us. Overall we asked to speak to the owner, they refused to give us her contact information (whose name is Sarah). I am going to keep this employees name undisclosed, but after seeing what was happening, they came over to us and quietly told us this happens all the time. To be honest, I can handle bad food, but when it comes to poor customer service and downright disrespect— very disappointed. Luckily, my fiancé recorded the entire interaction including where PHIL yelled at my aunt “BE QUIET, stop interrupting me” when she was speaking in a different language to another family member at the table. We will be posting this video on social media so this restaurant can get the attention it deserves.

Fantastic! Excellent host crew! Charming and professional wait staff. The food speaks for itself. The menu is very easy to navigate, straight-forward, and very reasonably priced. I had 3 tacos authenticos, $12 if memory serves. I chose the refritos and carrot salad (mexican coleslaw) as my 2 sides. Sooo good! The chipotle sauce served on the side was perfecto!! I personally avoid "chipotle" items bc I do not care for the flavor of adobo, but this sauce did not have any adobo taste :) true, smokey chipotle :) Our group of 22 were seated within a reasonable time for a walk-in group on a Busy Saturday evening. The hostesses were very polite and professional, and worked their magic. I regret not getting our servers name, but he was fantastic and witty! While our group waited to be seated, the server overheard my friend mention my that it was my birthday. In addition to the excellent service and great food, our server and a few of the crew treated me to a song and a dance and I got to wear the Birthday Sombrero! Well done, Sangria's. I will certainly be back!

I cannot believe I have not reviewed Sangria's after my first visit but having dined again recently, I find myself wanting to make sure they get more than the tip paid for their great food and service. During a day of listening to music at the annual Mile of Music festival, our group of 5 found ourselves extremely hungry well past the typical dinner hour. Despite our late arrival, the parking lot was full yet we were still seated promptly and drinks were ordered. Can you believe you can get a Monster (38 oz) margarita! Too much for me but not for one in our group. I love the fact that the restaurant is in an older house as it provides some much desired character. Our server was attentive, professional, and friendly. The food arrived within an acceptable time frame, not too fast and not too late, and it was filling and delicious. Standard Mexican fare was available and it all looked better and tasted better than some of the other dine-in places that seem to be nothing more than a disguised fast food restaurant. Sangria's is an excellent choice!

Amazing tasting food, great atmosphere, excellent wait staff Vegetarian options, many options for vegans The waiter was knowledgeable about vegetarian and vegan foods. He told me to say non-dairy when ordering. Also, ask if the food has meat broth. The poblano rice has meat broth. Gluten free options and many options for different food restrictions How to order at this restaurant. Pick your main dish. Then pick 2 side dishes that are listed on the top of the menu. Then pick 2 garnishes also on the top of the menu. There are so many options. I did not take pictures of the menu because their website has an up-to-date menu. Surprised by carrot slaw. It is really good. I like coleslaw but I am not a big fan of carrots. The carrots are sliced very fine like angel spaghetti noodles. The fajita was amazing! Tableside guacamole is made at your table and you decide what goes in it. It is a fun experience. Vegetarian enchilada trio lunch is delicious and filling. $8.

Words can’t even describe this place! Just horrible even the employees talk bad about the place and work conditions! Won’t disclose what employees but even they say issues with order happen often and even the unsanitary kitchen conditions are insane! They say Sara the owner has done nothing to make changes and continues to cook food that could cause people to get sick. Please think twice before going here and other employees such as Phil and Rebecca are clueless when it come to customer service!! Revived an uncooked chimichanga with cold vegetables from the inside!! Rebecca literally said “do you want us to drop it in the fryer again” after it was cut and with only 1 bite taken! Literally asked to remake it and she said speaking for the kitchen “I don’t think the kitchen will make it” - the owner Sara really needs to step in and work their her employees!
