#MyDeli — Restaurant in Arcadia

8-15-24 Unfortunately, I went there for the first time today after googling where I could get a sub near me; other than Subway or Jersey Mike's. Ordered an Italian sub. While waiting for my sub to be wrapped after being taken out of the oven, I was standing by the front door...and what do I see walk across the floor in front of me? A roach. OMG! And not a baby one.

I immediately walked up to the Manager/older lady working there and told her. She acted surprised and asked where I saw it and how big was it? Really? I pointed the area out to her. I told her how disgusting it was to see that when you've ordered food. She again acted surprised. She didn't offer any consolation or discount. I just took my half sandwich, left and told myself...never again would I go there!

We don't know overall about the cleanliness of restaurants where we eat, but we don't expect to see a roach crawl right in front of you. That's NOT a good sign! Despite the tasiness of the half sub, it wasn't worth $11.

So, I'm writing this to caution others restaurant searchers...be aware...and I would say, go somewhere...

My husband and I came to the area today to visit the botanical garden and when we were done with our hour walk, we were craving a sub sandwich, we looked up a couple places, but this place caught my eyes because they had so much fresh bread and I’m a lover of a sourdough roll. They have a sourdough French roll, which is what I got. Of course it was delicious. Literally the best sourdough roll that I’ve had And I’m a chef so I am a tough critic. The sandwich was perfection. I got the turkey special and I added on deli dressing and pickles The lady who helped us out was very friendly and attentive, and the owner was very, very informative and friendly. I will definitely be back again delicious sandwich and very fresh ingredients but the bread is just...

Horrible service. I called in an order and was told it would take 10 minutes when I arrived 20 minutes later the store was empty and the employees were just sitting around. They forgot to make the sandwich. It's fine but I was running a bit late so I asked if they could make it quick, they said it would take 3 minutes. 10 minutes later I asked if it was done and he had been working on a different sandwich! I don't even understand! But it's probably for the best their food is very inconsistent and overpriced but until now it had been fairly pleasant and close to work. Done with this place, I get better sandwiches from...
