Starbucks — Restaurant in Arcadia

I love starbuck's! I go everyday to my favorite starbucks close to my house in Pasadena on Lake ave. But today I had a appt early so I went to another starbucks close to where my appointment was. I've gone there before a few times because I frequent this area often for lots of stuff so this is usually my go to starbuck when I'm in that area. But today was a little different. I asked for light ice in my trinta size dragonfruit refresher drink so she gave me a 3/4 filled cup with light ice. I guess it anoid her that I didn't want alot of ice and I wanted to have more of something to drink so she didnt properly fill my cup up to make it full. When I asked is this ready because its not full she proceeded to ask me "well do you want mor ice or something"? I said yes I want the something and that would be more liquid it my cup please. So she then said well I can put more lemonade in it to fill it up is that ok. But the way her tone was and her demeanor is was kind of rudish but not rude enough for me to trip out in the young girl. But the wonderful woman whom took my order which I cannot remember her name (matured woman. salt and pepper colored hair with short cute haircut and she wore glasses)but she was super pleasant. I had a wonderful experience at the Starbucks in downtown Arcadia. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. Everyone was friendly, cheerful, and had such a great attitude it truly stood out.

Our drinks were made lightning fast, and everything was just perfect. The bathroom was also very clean, which I always appreciate. I brought my mom with me, and she had a great time. We both felt cared for, and the staff really went out of their way to make our visit special.

We stopped by on our way to the airport, so it was an emotional day for me. But this Starbucks turned it into something memorable and heartwarming. On the morning of March 7th, I visited a local Starbucks to purchase a coffee. When I requested a straw, a female barista with black braided hair responded, “Wait for me.” While the phrase itself may seem innocuous, her tone and demeanor left me feeling profoundly uncomfortable. Seated outside, I sensed a palpable disapproval directed towards me, leading me to question whether I was subjected to discriminatory treatment. This experience cast a shadow over my entire day, leaving me feeling dejected.

As a globally recognized coffeehouse chain, Starbucks is renowned for its commitment to delivering respectful and courteous service to all patrons. Regrettably, my encounter on March 7th has called this standard into question. I sincerely hope that Starbucks addresses such concerns earnestly to prevent the recurrence of similar incidents...
