Went in on 12-30-22 for quick Friday morning breakfast with my son. He wanted hotcakes, I was going for the sausage egg and cheese McMuffin. We only had fifteen minutes to grab a quick bite before his basketball practice.
As we waited at the counter I noticed they had done some remodeling. The lobby was clearly separated from the dining room by a wall now. This is where things went south and I mean south, really fast.
I would say we waited 2 or 3 minutes before a older lady poked her hear around the corner and said we are bit behind it will be a few minutes. In my head, I was kinda thinking well it has already been a few minutes, but we waited patiently. After a few minutes another woman got in line behind me. She said "Are they pulling this again?" I said "Huh" The woman then explained that the last few times she had been there they had refused to take her order, and wanted her to use the kiosk. To say the least I was shocked.
Then the woman (probably the manager) finally poked her around the corner and repeated once again We are really backed up, it will be a few minutes before we can take your order. At this point we had been waiting close to ten minutes.
Reluctantly, knowing that I could only pay with cash, I moved over to the kiosk to enter our order. I entered our order and chose cash as my payment method. A completely blank receipt printed from the kiosk, and the kiosk said to hand the cashier the receipt to pay.
So back in line we went, at this point we had been there for over 15 minutes. Once again the lady popped her head around the corner and said we are totally backed up it will be a few minutes longer before they can take orders. I definately detected thick sarcasm from this woman at this point. I could see she had no intention in taking my order or the lady now in front of me any time soon, or possibly never. I'm all for innovation, I love self checkout. I absolutely agree that this and further restaurant automation will help to keep cost low and pay higher for employees. This has gone way beyond that, what is being done here is disrespect and disdain for customers. I eventually gave up, threw my ticket in the trash and headed down to Taco Bell to get some food in our bellies. We ended up being late, and my son was super upset about not getting McDonald's to start our special day we planned out.
You can teach people to flip burgers, to cook fries, and to check out customers. What you can't do is teach a fifty year old woman how to act like an adult, and to act...
Read moreIt's hit and miss with this location. I'm speaking primarily about the speed since it's a McDonald's and you know what you're signing up for on food quality. I will say this McDonald's does meet the food quality standards of a McDonald's so they are not subpar in that sense.
We went there 4 times recently. Twice they were extremely fast and efficient, moving cars through the drive thru at about 30 seconds per car. Another time, we waited somewhere between 15 and 20 minutes with only 5 or 6 cars in front of us. The 4th time we went inside to order and waited 15-20 minutes for a mobile order.
They no longer employ anyone to take orders at the counter. During my inside visit to pickup my mobile order, 2 other parties came inside to order food and stood at the counter 5-6 minutes each before anyone would come take an order. The manager shouted to use the kiosk, but the kiosk doesn't accept cash so the customers couldn't order there. The workers were not interested in taking the customers' orders.
There is no longer a soda fountain anywhere in the lobby so I couldn't get my drink while waiting the extended period for my food. I was clearly trying to get someone's attention to ask for my drink while I waited, but the kitchen staff were too busy to acknowledge. Several employees quickly looked away when I made eye contact, and began to ask for my soda.
I definitely would not go inside this restaurant. Their new setup makes it clear they are only interested in being a drive thru location and have no interest in cash customers. Staff weren't rude in the sense of verbally abusive, but they were dismissive of the cash customers trying to order and me trying to get my drink, refusing to acknowledge them or me. If it were just the slow service half the time, I'd have given them 4 stars, since the food is what you'd expect and sometimes they are fast. But the dismissive treatment of customers is ridiculous, and it included...
Read moreThis McDonalds has the slowest service I have ever seen for a fast food chain!! So many employees and not very many customers and none of the employees even acknowledge anyone or even offer to help when it was quite obvious someone just had a question or just needed sauce. I ordered one of their special iced coffees and they gave me a number so they would bring it right out to me..I swear there were maybe 8 customers in the store, most were already eating...after 20 minutes I went up to check on my coffee with my paid receipt in hand...employees walked right in front of me several times and never acknowledged me!! Finally I said I ordered a coffee 20 minutes ago..the employee looked all nervous and found out it wasn't made, so they started making it when one of the employees saw a coffee sitting on the counter and it was mine..they handed it to me...it was all melted down from sitting and I realized I should have rejected it and demand a fresh one. THEN after I put in my order the mcdouble had a freaking hair in it, not on it, but in it! They gave me a new one. There were so many employees there and the manager on duty was a space cadet. There was one employee that had disability issues (thumbs up for his hard work and dedication!!) and it appeared that his job was restocking straws etc...instead of working in that area he was stacking boxes on the pick up your food counter and walking back and fourth to restock his items. I only went to this location because it had a playroom for kids, which reminds me,they have one of those log rolls in there which is very dangerous for smaller kids! I saw 2 kids get flipped off backwards and one hurt her back and the other her chin..so be careful...you can't see it from below..I didn't know it was there till someone got hurt. I won't ever go back to...
