I've long been a fan of Asheville Bee Charmer. I have ordered from them online and visited whenever I get to Asheville. The people are SUPER friendly. The store is really neat with lots of great items, and can we talk about the fantastic honey. The sourwood honey is hands down the very best I have ever tried. So much better than anything I have bought at farmer's markets, craft fairs, anywhere. I mean honestly the flavor just so far exceeds other honey, I don't even bother. I just order from Asheville Bee Charmer. It really is night and day difference.

But I am mainly writing this review because I recently placed an order right as Hurricane Helene hit. When I saw the damage to North Carolina and especially Asheville, I honestly didn't expect my order to be shipped for months, if at all, because clearly the folks there have much bigger issues right now and who knew if the store was even still standing? I was okay with that. Imagine my surprise when my order was shipped within a week!!! I mean here they are in the middle of a major crisis and they're shipping my honey. I was okay to wait, but nope, they are on it and getting it out the door.

I was simply browsing but my mom couldn't resist getting several to bring back home in her carry-on. She wanted to buy a few for herself and her friends. They even have a honey tasting bar where you can indulge in sampling any flavor that catches your fancy. My mom fell in love with the exquisite Blueberry flavor! She ended up buying 5 of them. I was amazed at how many different kinds of honey there are! My husband and I visited one of the Bee Charmer stores while we were vacationing in Ashville. When the owner mentioned they have a honey tasting bar, we went went straight for that and sat down to sample a couple dozen pure and infused honeys. We left with our purchase of almost as many to hold our own honey tasting party and to give away as gifts. Our favorites were Sourwood, Blackberry, Tulip Poplar, Ginger, and the chili-infused ones.
