A Delightful, Crispy Surprise in Buckhead
My husband and I recently had a chance to try BiteMore in Buckhead, and what a delightful find it was! Today, Sunday, and it was still a bustling scene with a steady flow of customers—both for delivery and dining in. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a low-key, "dressed-down" experience.
For about $45, we enjoyed two burgers and two drinks; they had me at key we lemonade. He opted for a modified Smashburger, my husband had the standard. The food was fantastic. I had a specific request for my chichen sandwich/burger: no butter on the toasted bun and no cheese. The gentleman at the counter, Jan (like January), was incredibly sweet and accommodating.
I also had a very specific question for Jan, as I often do when I plan on writing a review: "Tell me about the Chicken Sandwich from kitchen to table." At first, he seemed a bit confused, thinking I was asking about my own order. But once he understood I was just seeking information for my review, he was incredibly helpful and provided all the details.
This is where the delightful surprise came in. He explained that BiteMore's chicken sandwiches are made not with a traditional chicken breast, but with two large, very crispy chicken tenders. This is a crucial detail, especially in Buckhead, where some restaurants might substitute ingredients. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that this is their standard practice. This is not a "soggy chicken" experience; it's a crispy one from start to finish. The tenders are so crispy that even in the middle of the sandwich, you still get that satisfying crunch.
Overall, our experience at BiteMore was a huge success. The food was great, the service from Jan was exceptional, and the crispy chicken sandwich—made with two tenders—is a must-try. Be prepared for a delicious, crispy experience that breaks from the norm. We'll...
Read moreI understand the challenges of working in the food industry, so I sympathize when a restaurant is short-staffed. The front-of-house staff was pleasant, the gentleman who packed our order was friendly, gave us complimentary red velvet cake for the 45-minute wait, and made sure to follow the light ice request. They were even managing without air conditioning, and at least the parking was validated.
As for the kitchen, I’d recommend having a more efficient system in place. For example, pasta could be pre-boiled slightly under so it’s ready to finish quickly with sauce. Chicken for pasta dishes could be partially cooked in advance, then flash-fried to order. Burgers should never be so thin that they resemble melted cheese. When short-staffed, it’s also wise to have all customers order through the kiosk and avoid handling cash while preparing food. And to the woman cooking in the back while on her cell phone, that’s likely why the no-cheese request was missed.
I spent $53 on two meals and three drinks that were mostly syrup, and by the time we got home, the fries were more like chips. Sadly, I don’t think I’d return, though I do wish the business the best. I was really hoping for a good meal, especially after reading positive reviews, but when a team is short-staffed, quality tends to...
Read moreI was in Atlanta for business and decided to try Bite More for lunch after checking it out on Google. One thing I liked right away, they have parking available right beside the restaurant, which made it convenient.
When I walked in, the place was clean and a friendly guy welcomed me. I placed my order using their big self-ordering monitor: an Oklahoma Onion Smash burger with Sprite and garlic Parmesan fries, plus a crispy cod sandwich with a separate order of fries. Here's something I noticed the garlic Parmesan fries were $3.99, and the plain fries were $5.19, but they looked like the same weight.
Unfortunately, the AC wasn't working that day, and it was really hot inside. I even asked if they could open the door. I ended up sweating a lot while waiting, which wasn't comfortable. They even had a tissue box with a note saying if you leave a Google review, you get a free dessert but honestly, I skipped it because it was just too hot to enjoy sitting there any longer.
The food itself was delicious, but the wait time was about 20 minutes to get my lunch, which feels long for a burger and fries.
I decided on 3 stars mainly because of the long wait and the heat inside. If the AC had been working, I probably wouldn't have even mentioned it, and my rating might have...
