Café Lucia — Restaurant in Atlanta

This was a very disappointing visit. When I walked in, I wasn’t acknowledged at all. I stood at the counter for about five minutes while the young lady behind the bar, though clearly busy, avoided eye contact and never once said, “I’ll be right with you.” I didn’t even know if I was supposed to wait or order somewhere else. I actually started looking around for a kiosk or some kind of online ordering option.

When I finally ordered, I asked for something very simple: a vanilla latte. What I was served was honestly terrible. The drink was made completely out of order, coffee first, then milk, and ice thrown in at the end which guaranteed it would be wrong. And it was. Instead of a crisp iced latte, it came out as a lukewarm, milky mess with no real espresso flavor. A total waste of milk.

To make matters worse, the café itself was dirty and unkempt, which only added to the bad impression.

Overall: poor service, poorly made drink, and poor cleanliness. I would not...

Fabulous food, fabulous service, I would give you a 5 star except that I am a neighbor and go there all of the time. Today, of the 13 people inside they had neither drink nor food from the establishment at that time. People get on the computers and occupy the seats for hours and there is no more room inside for customers with new orders . The staff does not say anything to the people occupying the seats for hours and new customers have to stand, get it to go or grab a seat if you wait an hour or so. I also noticed people there eating food from other restaurants not from Cafe Lucia. When I mentioned this to the waitress she said it is ok our manager is very laid back about this. Outside you cannot sit either because people on the go use it to smoke. How can you keep new customers with this disregard for seating and customary consideration ??? I felt ostracized , is this a way to run a business?? Let me know before I return. Thank you, Tired...

This review is for the locale, staff, tea, and food. Didn’t order a coffee on my visit. Cute coffee and tea shop with breakfast items, baristas were friendly and helpful. Overall my experience wasn’t very good for a few reasons which are all correctable: Online menu for this establishment does not reflect available options at this location- mgmt should update the website to reflect separate menus for each location if they don’t have a unified menu. Planned our order from their website and had to change everything when we arrived. Tea drinks weren’t made properl. You can’t do the same amount of tea in a 16oz as you do in a 12oz just like you wouldn’t do the same amount of coffee at different drinks. 1 tea bag in a 16oz London fog latte is going to taste like hot milk every time.
