Had dinner here with two buddies. Parking was very easy. The building’s parking deck was free (not sure if it is like that all the time or only after normal business hours as we came in the evening) and there were plenty of spaces available. The restaurant is in the corner of the building furthest from the deck. We walked outside around to the street entrance, only to find a sign saying to use the restaurant entrance in the building lobby, making us backtrack somewhat the way we came. Not a big deal.
We came prepared with a reservation, but there would not have been a wait even without one. There were not many guests in the dining room, which was surprising even for a Tuesday night. We had our pick of tables in the restaurant. No complaints there. Most of the other guests were seated at the bar. It was not too loud in the restaurant which I liked.
After ordering drinks, bread was served. The rolls were big and really good. They were served hot which is always appreciated. Our table shared the shrimp cocktail and also escargot for appetizers. The appetizer portions were bigger than I expected, and they were both really very good. Our server recommended that we dip our bread in the escargot sauce, which of course I tried. That was outstanding. I would order both of those again. For my entre, I ordered the steak frites. The steak was excellent, but the standout of my plate were the fries. Someone else at the table got salmon. He said it was good, but I would say the portions of both our plates were on the small side. Another of our party ordered the duck. I had entre envy immediately when that came out. His plate was huge and everything looked so good. I will definitely come back and will order that next time. Planning on bringing my wife for date...
Read moreWent for Valentine’s Day. The two hostess were great, but everything else was a mess. We showed up a little early for our reservation so headed to the bar to grab a drink. This is where we noticed how overwhelmed and over their heads the staff and management were. We watched the wrong food get delivered to people sitting at the bar, the servers were weaving in and out of the guest waking through the restaurant with full trays of food. There were so many times when a server almost collided with a patron and and acted like it was the customers fault. It took forever for us to get our drinks and of course they were made poorly. When it was finally time for us to head to our table I got cut off mid walk by a server delivering food. Get to the table and when our server finally arrives he never greets us or introduces himself. The only thing out of his mouth was “regular water okay?”, and it wasn’t really a question because he just pours the water anyway then zooms off. When he finally comes back he says “y’all know that you want?” He still never introduces himself, ask if we’ve dined there before and doesn’t bother to explain the menu. We go ahead and order, but shortly after tell him just to cancel everything. We ended up making reservations at the restaurant next door and decide to leave. It was the most unwelcoming experience I’ve ever had for a restaurant at that price point. Would never in my...
Read moreVery nice owner, but honestly, this is the worse french food I've had in my life. The food in France is better than this place. Seems like most of their patrons are locals from the area including the Ritz Residences, which is above the restaurant. Nonetheless, I was really surprised at how bad the food taste. Here's the problem.
The Coq Au Vin is too soggy. It's more like Chicken Soup. It had very little flavor and way too much broth. The Steak was very tough and it lacked flavor. The french onion soup was so thick that I had to have it made over WITHOUT the cheese. With the cheese, the soup is impossible to digest. The Swiss Chard is undercooked and the bread was rock hard. Once we got seated, it took a while before we were greeted. Looking around the restaurant, it could've been due to the fact that we don't look like we live in the area. Never judge a book by it's cover. I'm sure our server was very pleased in the end. If you want really good French food, I would drive down the street to "Bistro Niko". It's only 5 minutes from F&B. The food and customer service is much better. Bistro Niko is a busy restaurant but you won't have an issue with taste or customer service. F&B should focus on getting the flavors and food pairings right. The competition in Atlanta is too hefty to...
