I was genuinely very happy with the overall customer service at this location. The employees were very friendly and tried to be as helpful as possible despite numerous issues with my Elfa installation. While I generally like the Elfa closets we have, the process was far more frustrating than expected. For our measurement appointment, the contractor did not show up and we had to reschedule several weeks later. The measure took an entire day for a house full of closet measurements, far longer than anticipated. We ordered the closets, picked up the order at the store and had the installation scheduled. The installer did not show up for the appointment to install. The next available that would work for our schedule and theirs was two weeks later. The store did offer us a small credit for the hassle. They were supposed to send two installers due to the number of closets, and only one person showed up. He only finished 4 (of 7) closets after an entire day of working. He also let us know that numerous parts were missing from our order. We had to wait for several phone calls to get the parts and went back to the store to pick up the items and then wait another week for them to finish the installation. The installer told me that it wouldn't take long to finish the other closets since he already put up the main components. The next appointment the installer showed up 2 hours late, and took 4.5 hours to tell us that we were still missing parts. I had to call the company to get the parts from the store again and I went home only to find out that the installer requested the wrong size parts. The store hand delivered the remaining parts and we finished installing the closets ourselves. They also promised another credit back but that never appeared.

Overall, I appreciate the configuration of the closets, but took nearly six weeks from ordering to completion, numerous trips to the store, two no-show appointments, late installers, and we had to finish the installation ourselves. I spent almost $10,000 on 4 closets that are incorrect and not installed and no one has contacted me to get this situation rectified.

I worked with Alyssa Gerald on 3 reach-in closets and my primary walk-in closet. She incorrectly took the measurements. I self-installed the 3 reach-in closets and wondered by the materials didn’t fit perfectly but I made them work. On Tuesday, Nov. 26, the contractor came to install my primary walk-in closet and let me know that the measurements were incorrect and that he couldn’t continue the installation. I called the installation service, the Store, and Alyssa and was told that the store manager would address my concern—I still haven’t received a call, email, or text.

Alyssa called me to tell me that her “tool didn’t calibrate the measurements correctly” and they’ll redesign the closet free of charge. I asked for more of a discount because my other 3 closets were also incorrect and I had planned to have my closets completed by thanksgiving and this is an inconvenience that no one is treating as urgent when I’ve spent almost $10k. She said her manager would get in contact with me directly—I still haven’t been contacted.

If I’m not contacted by Monday, I’ll be looking into taking legal action because I’ve spent too much money to be ignored and to have the agreement I signed...
