Not really a rating on this particular store but the company overall. Never again Comcast, never again. I was with them 3 years and every one of those years were plagued with technical issues and billing problems. Their move/transfer service? Laughable. If you're unlucky like me you'll end up having 4 different accounts to your name where billing can't make heads or tails where service fees are coming from and you'll be on the phone numerous times trying to figure out what the hell is going on (The customer service reps are actually very nice people who unfortunately work for a terrible company). After the last move, I'd had enough and went to a different ISP, returned my equipment to this store (had to wait about an hour just to do that) paid my final bill or so I had thought and now several months later I am getting calls from Diversified Consultants (Their collection agency BTW) stating I still owe them money. How is that? Well apparently it was leftover from one of my many different accounts that just rolled on over. Called billing demanding an explanation, stating if they were able to adequately explain how I owe them money I would pay it. I had to wait for the poor billing agent to try to make sense of it all which we ended up getting cut off, which was oh so great because he failed to make notes regarding the call so when I called back and of course get another billing agent I had to explain the whole situation over again. So the explanation I was given on the second run was that the bill was for early contract termination fee....I was with Comcast for 3 years...Yeah that seemed ridiculous even to the billing agent who spoke with their credit manager and got the fee waived. Good ending right? I thought so too for a brief time. Yeah got another bill last week. And yeah, the new billing rep I spoke to told me they have no notes regarding my last conversation and the email I asked them to send to me confirming the waiver? Yeah they never sent it (Guess that one was on me for not following up). Thank you Comcast. Growth doesn't come without pain. Thank you for helping me become a more...
Read moreGoogle fiber internet: 30$ a month for gig download and upload speeds, never needed an eternity cable, never had any inconsistency in my connection, not even an outage. they even paid me when I canceled my subscription for the prorated days.
xfinity internet: they sell 24 month contract to apartments who, 99% don't have 24 month leases.
they have the highest fee for getting out of contract, 210$. probably more if this comment is old.
there are several other fees through the contract I had to read for.
they even made the print extra tiny and difficult to read, most of which saying they planned on doubling or even tripling my internet costs.
it actually only costs pennies to be an internet provider. you aren't paying employees, they pay foreign workers a much smaller wage than what's needed in economically competitive USA. (it should be illegal for a business to hire foreigners from other countries. they are clearly taking advantage of not needing to pay the same wages, while also costing people in the home country jobs. I don't mind immigrants coming to work here, but I do think Comcast shouldn't be able to pay 5$ an hour to India or phillipenes just for more profit, those foreigners should be paid a wage that would allow them to live in such an expensive country.
to add insult, while cheating us, they rob us of upload speeds (you don't notice this until your video calls suck and your video shows on others screens as a blurry mess) consistently throttle our speeds,
making regular calls for them to "fix" my internet like I'm some kind of moron who didn't go go computer science school who didn't learn networking and cable installation
I'm fully aware of the cost of business. there are growing numbers of people wanting to file malpractice lawsuits against this company
15$ rent for your modem. why? your modem is 360$ after your 24 month contract. do you really believe it costs that much?
Google fiber gave us the modem. said we can keep it or send it...
Read moreI've been unable to access "On Demand" for 3weeks. First tech that came checked equipment and apartment hook up wiring. Couldn't find issue, turned it over to another department. Second appointment next tech did exact same thing, but said issue was out in main utility closet in our apartment building, but he didn't have experience with fiber-optic and turned it over to another department that was to come check utility closet within 72 hours... They were a no show. Excuse was tech put information into the system wrong. I wait.....once again no one showed for second time. I call Comcast again ,and set up yet another appointment. Then I call last tech to question him about why no one was coming and that I called Comcast about it. I was spoken to like a child and told ,"That's why I have you my card! Now it looks bad on me that you called!" All that with deep sighs of disgust. So now I get another appointment and tech does same thing as ALL the others and then tells us it is a issue "within" the system. It's turned over as "high priority" and I'm STILL waiting. I'm so sick of waiting and not getting direct answers and having my problem solved! Without Demand we can't watch much of anything as we can't use record or anything. I'm burned out and AT&T is starting to look good for all my services, cable and internet. One...
