I Love it when you can stay at a Hotel where it smells great and it is clean. The hallways and most every where had a beautiful smell. I TOOK A CHANCE AND STAYED AT THE WYNDHAM CONFERENCE CENTER FOR THE FIRST TIME….However, I stayed here “LABOR DAY” weekend with my Grown Children and Grandchildren. By the way, if you have little ones this isn’t the best hotel for that. This HOTEL, really isn’t or did not seem to “GIVE OFF THE “FAMILY VIBE” I chose this to celebrate two of my Grandchildren’s Birthdays and two of my Daughter’s pregnancies….I did not call a third party, to make my reservation to this hotel, I called the hotel directly and SPOKE with a “DIRECT WYNDHAM” “RESERVATIONIST” to book my stay. I explained that my Daughter would arrive a head of me. (My Daughter is pregnant and had two little ones with her) The reservationist explained to me the payment for this particular facility would be delayed, “DON’T WORRY ABOUT PAYING AN UP FRONT FEE, HE SAID.” Also, he went on to explain that I would was getting a discounted rate because I became a Member at the time of my RESERVATION! THE RESERVATIONIST, quoted me a price of $543 WITH TAXES!!!! FOR (TWO DAYS) I CONFIRMED THAT TWICE WITH THE RESERVATIONIST— (THAT WAS A DIRECT RESERVATIONIST FOR THE WYNDHAM HOTEL CHAIN, mind you) WHO CALLED AHEAD TO EPLAIN TO THE FRNT DESK—THAT MY PREGNANT DAUGHTER— WOULD ARRIVE BEFORE ME W/TWO CHILDREN. Upon her ARRIVAL, she then had to called me—to explain that she WAS TOLD THAT SHE WOULD HAVE TO PAY $780!!!!! W/ CHANGE—-BEFORE SHE COULD TAKE HER CHILDREN TO THE ROOM (who needed accommodation at the time because they needed a change)…..SO EXPLAIN TO ME WHY, FIRST OF ALL, THE SAME COMPANY FRONT DESK PERSON, WAS NOT ON THE SAME PAGE AS COMPANY’s RESERVATIONIST AND MY DAUGHTER HAD TO CALL ME SO THAT I COULD TRANSFER FUNDS TO HER—TO PAY ——PRACTICALLY $800. My Daughter, HAD TO GO BACK OUT TO HER CAR TO WAIT, FOR ME TO SPEAK DIRECTLY TO THE FRONT DESK TO EXPLAIN MY INITIAL BOOKING CONVERSATION. BY THE WAY, My Daughter explained, that one of Desk Agents was already in a heated argument about there accommodations as she stood there trying to obtain assistance….must’ve been a sign then🧐 I HAD TO CALL BACK HOWEVER—TO GET ACCOMMODATIONS FOR MY DAUGHTER THROUGH ANOTHER AGENT, who was VERY HELPFUL (HAYACINTH)! Mind you also, this was all at about 10ish in the PM. The CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTED, HAYACINTH(??spelling) made it happen for my daughter.
Now…Upon my arrival, needing to shower and try to calm down, I found that the room had NO REFRIGERATOR, NO MICROWAVE, NO EXHAUST FOR THE RESTROOM AND NO SHOWERING GEL…FOR A PRACTICALLY $400 a night PAYMENT —-That I MADE IN ADVANCE! My GRANDCHILDREN WERE EXPOSED TO THE CROWD, OF MOSTLY YOUNG “DENTAL—FLOSS” ATTIRE WEARING INDIVIDUALS, throughout the two days into the nights (as Sinbad the comedian put it). MONTRELL… who was the HOTEL MANG. Of whom, I explained my PREVIOUS NIGHT CHECK-IN EXPERIENCE TO THE NEXT MORNING, Did his best to make up for the less-than experience (OF WHICH I WAS THANKFUL TO AN EXTENT) and HE suggested, that I call the reservation dept., to explain the experience. Needless to say, I did call, I was switched to CUSTOMER-CARE DURING THE CALL AND THE YOUNG LADY THAT I SPOKE WITH—-FORGOT THAT HER JOB WAS…..C-U-S-T-O-M-E-R——C-A-R-E!!! THIS, in and of itself——TOPPED OFF THE STAY FOR ME AND MY CHILDREN (MIND YOU, I PURCHASED A VACATION PACKAGE FROM WYNDHAM, UPON MY INITIAL BOOKING) BEFORE THE ROLLERCOASTER WOULD BEGIN, OF WHICH, I WILL COLLECT MY REFUND AND “NOT” LOOK BACK TO RETURNING EVER AGAIN FOR...
Read moreWasn't planning on leaving a review but between being incorrectly charged for the room and after all the back-and-forth / wasting of my time, I figured I had to at least make sure I documented the shirt saga (for both my own sanity and to flag to anyone else because this has been a silly experience) :||Jan 13th - Jan 16th - Stay at hotel as a part of a company conference|Jan 16th - Realize about an hour after checking out that I left a shirt behind in the room. I call the front desk and they tell me I need to speak with Lost-and-Found, so they transfer me and I leave a message at that line.|Jan 17th - Didn't receive a call back from Lost-and-found all day so I call the front desk again in the afternoon and they tell me I haven't received a call back because of change of ownership to Wyndham and to call back tomorrow...lol ok|Jan 18th - No answer on a few diff occasions throughout the day when I try to call the hotel|Jan 19th - I call and speak to front-desk in the morning and they reach out to Lost-and-found and say they'll call me back with more info. Front-desk calls me back 8 hours later and leaves a voicemail saying "the day got busy but they spoke to Lost-And-Found and they have my shirt and want to coordinate how I can pick it up". Keep in mind - no explanation why my voicemail from 3 days ago had not been returned.|Jan 20th - No answer when I tried to call front-desk and lost-and-found throughout the day multiple times|Jan 21st - Didn't call|Jan 22nd - I called and spoke to different front desk person who was totally unaware of the whole situation. She speaks to Lost-and found and says they actually don't have my shirt and it was a "miscommunication" the other day. Lol I'm not sure what the miscommunication could be considering the options were either "yes we have the shirt" or "no we do not have the shirt". I explain to her that it seems they've misplaced the shirt in the 3 days its taken to reach them since the Jan 19th message, OR, they somehow never had the shirt on that day, which while unlikely is hypothetically plausible, but regardless, both outcomes are bizarre. She basically says "you're out of luck" which really isn't okay considering I originally called an hour after check-out on Jan 16th and was neither helped by the front desk nor called back by lost-and-found, even though my shirt was 100% left in the closet of the room. She suggests I speak with the GM and she'll relay the context and to call her directly at "9am tomorrow"|Jan 23rd - I call the GM's number at 9am in the morning. I'm told the GM is unavailable. I explain the situation to the person who answers and they take down my number for the GM to call me back.|Jan 24th - No call back |Jan 25th - No call back|Jan 26th - No call back|Jan 27th - No call back|Jan 28th - I'm leaving this review.||Figured my shirt is obviously as good-as-gone at this point, and quite honestly, I would've been super understanding for some delay because ultimately it's my fault I left the shirt behind. That said, the complete lack of responses, the fact I had to initiate every communication, the laughable disregard for my time, and ultimately just ignoring my conversations & the incredibly simple request is wild.||I hope whoever has the shirt enjoys it and feel free to wear it to the hotel because I certainly won't be back...
