Good for kids, ours were 7-9, but there are problems with details inside.
The first thing you do is walk into a room with lots of different slime in stands spread out around, imagine a bunch of large sinks placed in a room with slimes of different types and colors and smells inside. Basically you will do this touching of slime a lot in the rest of the place, same idea in new rooms.
One issue was that we brought slime over to the slingshot, and were told that no we have to use a certain kind they have, well that was obvious. Also there is an attendant there. 3 stations but only one slingshot itself, that she would move around. She goes and grabs the slingshot slime from where it hits the wall and brings it back. The whole thing takes forever and should be managed better.
Another place has some kinetic sand stations, which were really small and boring. There was also an interactive projector wall, which didn't work very well, and kids would cover up the sensor without realizing it. We left pretty fast out of there.
Another room had interactive tables with screens on them. There were a lot of people so we waited and waited. Finally we found a spot, it is supposed to work with heart rate and they have little sensors to put on your wrist, however there were not enough of them at a table and they have zero chance of working because they weren't strapped well around their wrists. Then, we couldn't figure out what the slim on the tables was for. There was slime at each seat and people were playing with it on the tables. We'll finally we were told that it isn't supposed to go on the screens. The attendant was annoyed at having to clean it up. If you put slim at a place where the whole point is to play with it and then you say you can't play with it to kids, it isn't going to work. This was a total waste of time and space.
Then the final area where you make slime is fun. The only trouble is that all along it said to remember what kind of slime you like. There were signs everywhere with names of the slimes and what was on them. But when you are there you don't copy a name you just pick a type, color, and smell. Ok fine, just not expected. Then, they were out of a bunch of colors and smells. They had little lights for each that say if it's working or not, but a bunch really weren't. I think the attendants were annoyed. Oh and there is a smell wall, were all the kids can sniff the smells. It's fine except that each little spot has a twist off top. The top has a hole in it, they don't need to do that, but it looks like something you twist off because that's how you change the cartridge. So of course the kids assume they are supposed to do this too. Yeah they need to fix this design.
Oh and I laughed right at the start. They have an automatic hand wash station and you're supposed to wash before you go in. It said it was out of soap on its little display. The worker just said it was a bad sensor. Right, I'm sure that's what it is, in both machines.
Has promise. Needs work. Otherwise it will go downhill like a lot of bad children's museums with bad or...
Read moreWe were one of the first ones in at 9am and WE HAD SO MUCH FUN that I had to write a review right away! I was iffy about spending $39 per person but it was worth every single penny! My kids (ages 2-7) had an absolute BLAST but I actually really enjoyed the experience, too! We started off by watching a short video, then we went to a name tag station to write our “sloomoo” names. Then, we went to stick slime to the slime wall. After that, we played in various pods of slime (different textures/colors/scents/tools). Then we shot slime at Sloomoo, who was behind plexiglass, with a huge slingshot. We visited the kinetic sand room, then went through an opening to another room with more pods and touchscreens to make a Sloomoo Sidekick character. Then, we went through another door to a circular room with a projector around the whole thing showing slime and stuff. Then, into another room with more slime pods and these domes you stand under and listen to sounds like crackling noises and stuff. Then, there were tables where you put on a heart rate monitor and play with slime and try to lower your heart rate. Then, onto Sloomoo Falls to watch people get slimed. On the back wall is a place where you make fossil shapes with slime. Then, (drumroll please) you get to the DIY BAR! You pick your texture, scent, color, and charms and mix together your custom slime at the tables in the middle. By the time you get to this room, you already have a pretty good idea of your favorite textures and scents and stuff. They give you a bag for your slime, too. Then you go up some stairs to Sloomoo Lake, where you’ll find a squishy plush pool and a slime lake. There’s also a small obstacle course. There’s a separate squishy animal pool and slime pool for little kids behind a gate, which was nice for my two year old! The lake was the perfect way to end the experience and there was plenty of seating for adults and tons of staff helping out. The staff were ALL super friendly and helpful along the way! There were spots along the way to clean your hands and the whole environment was clean, too. Before you leave, you go through the little gift shop which has the squishy plushies, all kinds of slime and slime supplies, and Sloomoo paraphernalia. There’s even slime pods in the shop which the kids played with while I checked out. One thing to note is that if your kids are small (like 4 and under), they may have trouble reaching the slime pods, which are a major part of the experience. Plan to go with enough adults to hold them up so they can stick their hands in. Overall, we would totally go back. It was a fantastic experience!!!!
Edit: We visited again with my older kids this time. It was a great experience again and I can’t say enough about how friendly and helpful the staff are! The kids agreed that the DIY bar is...
Read moreWe went on a Sunday right around open time. We made reservations for 4.
It is not worth the price. I have a 2 year old who I had to pay to get in and he was not amused even a tiny bit. Could just be my 2 year old though. But I paid $39 plus tax for his ticket and he didn’t want to touch the slime. For this reason alone I believe children under 3 years old should be free. We literally just carried him the entire time.
My 5 year old had a great time. We even paid the extra ($69 plus tax) to get slimed on. While he really enjoyed playing with the variety of slime, it was NOT worth $69.
Adults should be free when bringing a child or at the very least extremely discounted because this experience is for the kids. You just walk around touching slime.
Adult Basic Experience ticket $39 2 year old Basic Experience ticket $39 Adult enhanced experience ticket $69 Child Enhanced Experience ticket $69
While the staff was extremely nice and did their best to make it exciting, hygienic and somewhat educational, the cost is entirely too much for what it is.
Recommendations for the company: -Under age 3 should be free or deeply discounted -Adults accompanying a child should be free or reduced ticket price -The overall tickets should be cheaper since 95% of the experience is going in to touch slime and sand
Recommendations for potential visitors: -Don’t bring a child under 3 unless you KNOW they love touching slime and slimey things -Skip this experience if you only budget a few adventures a year. Save the money you’d spend here on an amusement park, the aquarium, the children’s museum, etc. -You could get the same experience by simply buying some slime and setting up stations at home in Tupperware -If you or your child are really into sensory play though, you would probably LOVE it and not care about the price
I’m rating it 3 star because MOST of the staff was really nice, helpful and did their best to make the experience as exciting as it could be. Additionally, the bathrooms were clean and the building itself promoted good hygiene and cleanliness with sanitizing wipes throughout. And because my 5 year old had a good time (although he is easy to please, he would’ve enjoyed himself at a fast food play area). I won’t be doing this again unless ticket prices are cut in half.
If the price was cut in half, I would definitely rate this place 4.5 stars. Needs a little more decor on the walls and more interactive things instead of just touching slime/sand. Something that makes my kid go “WOW”. But since all you do is walk around and touch slime for $39 (or 69 to get slimed on), it’s not a 5...
