My husband and I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. We ate breakfast at the restaurant the morning after we arrived and the morning of checkout. The first experience was so good that we wanted to get breakfast on our way out of town. The second time, the service was not good. My husband ordered the French toast again, and I ordered 2 eggs and chicken sausage. I noticed on the menu the last time we visited it listed that fresh berries were supposed to come with his French toast, and the first time he ordered, he got none. The second time he ordered, he got one blueberry, I questioned the amount of berries and then she brought out the small cup of blueberries and said that they were out of berries and then she bought out the bowl of strawberries and said they chopped some up. The manager was walking around and asking everyone in the restaurant if everything was okay and I inquired about the amount of berries my husband received in relation to me seeing him deliver a full bowl of berries to another table. He explained that the berries for the french toast were garnish and not a side. I told him how it was worded on the menu, and it appears as a side. He agreed and said he saw why it would be interpreted that way. I was satisfied with his response, but what I wasn't satisfied with was my food. My eggs and chicken sausage were brought out on separate plates, so I transferred my sausage to my egg plate and noticed that after my second bite there was a small piece of hair that must have been on the bottom of the sausage. I get our waitress, and she apologizes for it removes both plates and said she would have it remade. While we were talking to the manager about the berries, my sausage came out, and there were no eggs. I said, "I don't get eggs with this?" He said," Oh, I didn't know you wanted eggs too. I'm not sure if he knew that my eggs had been taken with my sausage. He goes to the back, and my husband and I could hear the waitress upset about me questioning about the berries . The manager explained to her my inquiry, and she sounded as if she was okay. She brings the eggs out, and I could see she was pissed but she tried to play it off. She goes back to the back and another waiter asking her what happened and she was telling him about the berries, she said, "Can you believe she thought it was a side, and said something else, then she said but I don't care, she can say what she want but I don't care." She brought us our check. The sausage was taken off, but the eggs were not. She was still trying to play it off. We paid the check and didn't leave a tip for her. If I hadn't heard her being so negative behind the scene, she probably would have gotten a tip. I was very disappointed and upset about her behavior behind the scenes, and at the same time, I felt bad that she interpreted me questioning the menu and the food we received as a dig at her. She shouldn't have taken it personally. We all work hard for our money and have the right to question something when it feels like it...

New review based on experience today (October 27, 2024) My husband and I dined at Glenn’s Kitchen today. I had eaten here just two weeks ago and was impressed by the excellent service and the generous portion of roasted chicken. At that time, I had received a half chicken for $28, which I thought was great value for the price. Planning to share the dish with my husband, since I prefer white meat and he enjoys dark meat, we initially considered ordering an additional side of mashed potatoes. However, we decided at the last minute to order two separate roasted chicken meals because we were both quite hungry.

It turns out, that was a smart decision. When our meals arrived, I was surprised to see that each plate only contained a chicken breast and a wing—far less than the half chicken I had been served previously. I immediately asked our server about the portion size, and she said she would send over the manager, Stephanie. When Stephanie came to our table, I showed her a photo of my meal from October 6, 2024, and asked why the portion size had changed so drastically.

Stephanie explained that the chef had reduced the portion size due to rising chicken costs and feedback from customers who weren’t finishing their meals. However, I found this explanation unsatisfactory. Whether customers finish their meal or not, they’ve still paid for it, so why not offer them the same portion? Furthermore, if the meal now only includes a quarter chicken, patrons should at least have the option to choose between white or dark meat. For $28, serving just a quarter of a chicken seems overpriced, especially given the half chicken I had previously received.

Although Stephanie did take $5 off each meal in an effort to make things right, the overall experience left a sour taste in my mouth. Based on this experience and the principle of the matter, I won’t be returning to or recommending Glenn’s Kitchen. ———————————————————————— October 6, 2024 review: This was my first time visiting the Glenn Kitchen. The ambience, service, and food were impeccable. Jeremy was our server. He was very attentive and served with a smile. He made recommendations for food and drink choices and they did not disappoint. Because of his infectious smile and attention to our table, I’ll certainly come back again. Thanks Jeremy for a positive...

We needed something within walking distance from the hotel because asking the valet to get your car just to grab something really quick all the time grows tiresome. Unfortunately there are not a lot of brunch spots close by so we had to opt for lunch. It is at the bottom floor of the Glenn Hotel which also has a rooftop bar. One thing I didn't like it that so it said the main restaurant was open on Google we had to sit in the bar lounge area in the lobby.

The pricing is pretty reasonable with a few expensive options here and there but you can still find something good at a low cost. And I like the fact that they have a soup of the day and Tacos of the day because I love the variety that specials give you.

I got the tacos because I didn't really see anything else that I liked and I got an interesting side which was zucchini with a hint of mint. Originally don't waitress told me that they were scallop tacos which I was very excited about trying but she eventually came back and told me she was wrong and that they were steak tacos. Luckily I like steak tacos as well but I was really interested in trying the scallop tacos because I've never had them so that was a bummer.

We ordered drinks while we waited in my wife got the house Riesling. I wasn't a fan of it. It was a bit dry and not as sweet as most Rieslings. I opted for a cocktails and went with the Kentucky Ginger. It has whiskey, St Germain, lemon, orange, simple syrup and ginger beer. It was a really good cocktail!

The tacos were really good and the zucchini mint was surprisingly good as well. Interesting combination but very flavorful. My wife got the crab cakes and the cheddar grits. The crab cakes had zero filling and they were really big. She had to switch the grits for fries because they were undercooked but the fries were delicious.

Though the wait was a bit long and there were some miscommunications the food and the drinks made up for it. We're not rushing to come back here but we'd be open to give it...
