Amazing vibe with great coffee, really friendly employees, and great small plates. Excellent cured meats, rotating artisanal cheese selections, and house-made focaccia.
This patio-seating-only restaurant is also bringing the newest hipster dining craze to Atlanta: tinned fish. I was definitely skeptical at first, but Iām sold on the idea now. This isnāt your average sardines and tuna in the non-perishable section of Kroger or Publix. These are curated, imported European brands with a rotating selection of more exotic varieties of seafood: razor clams, yellowfin, mussels, etc. When served alongside the other charcuterie-style items on the menu, itās a wonderful light dining experience perfect for a small get together with friends.
The owner is an Intellegentsia coffee company alum and that shows in the quality of their coffee. Itās some of the best coffee in Atlanta. This place is definitely in ācoffee puristā territoryāyouāre not going to find fun, Starbucks-style drinks like blended coffees, French Vanilla Lattes, Sugar Cookie macchiatos, etc. (I say this with no judgement, by the way. I love those kinds of drinks tooāsometimes a mocha Frappuccino is just perfection). What you will get is amazing coffee and lattes, hot or iced, that remind you how good coffee doesnāt have to be all dressed up and loaded down with sugar to be amazing.
The owner also likes to branch out into other areas of cuisine as well. Recently they had a weekend where they served gumbo (the best Iāve ever had), and weāre sad that we missed their recent pizza night because Iām sure it was great as well.
The wine bar piece of the establishment is coming soon (pending bureaucratic processes), but itās more than worth a visit even without the wine bar. [Update 08/08/2023: as of several weeks ago, the wine bar is now live...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to this place for the first time on Saturday 10/7 due to the great reviews it had on google. The ambiance was great, as well as the food and drinks/coffee. However, I bought an Aperol Spritz that was almost $22 dollars because the Aperol cost $5 and the champagne $15. First of all, I think $22 for an Aperol Sprits is ridiculous, knowing that this type of drinks is not expensive. Not only that, but they don't have the price of the Aperol Spritz on the menu, they have the price of other types of sprits, so I thought it was going to cost me $5-$7 since all of them were in that same price range. The bartender didn't told me in advance but when I asked her why I was paying so much for an Aperol Spritz, she then explained. I thought it was very inconsiderate and acted in a bad faith. I would not be coming back despite the other great things it had because I felt that they took advantage of my lack...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is just an all-around interesting place. I came for some coffee and fish tins (how often do you hear somebody saying that!?). They have an extensive and attractive list of fish tins (which I love) and I haven't come across many places where I can dine out and have them. The coffee menu has no frills (which I also like). They serve up wines and breakfast sandwiches, too. The branzino I had was tender and excellent all-around. Unfortunately, they were out of bread, and having that with chips made it feel like I was getting less bang for my buck -- you can't really sop up all the good juices with chips like you could with bread. My iced latte was decent, nothing crazy. All seating is on an outdoor patio, so it's a perfect fit for a nice day. There's good WiFi outside, too. I think there was potential for a better experience here, but I left pretty...
