On August 17th, I decided to try Fado Irish pub for the first time before I went to see Flogging Molly. I got a Guinness and some goat cheese at the time because I had just eaten at steak and shake earlier in the afternoon. I was so impressed by the scenery and atmosphere at the Buckhead that I wanted to show my family, namely my dad, the establishment. I spent my birthday at the midtown Atlanta location, but that was less about the Irish atmosphere and more about just a place to see the game. Yesterday my dad and I went to Buckhead they do some record shopping at Fantasyland records and then afterwards we were going to grab a bite at Fado's Irish pub and restaurant. I was helping my mom would come with us,but she had just gotten done with a 8 hour shift and she was ready to rest up for the day. So I took some pictures so she knows what to come to expect for when she is able to come with us. This time I was able to bring an appetite and I ordered the Fado pub Burger and a Guinness black and black for my meal. Incidentally, the pub was much more crowded and I should have known better because it was during college football season. Compared to the first time during the mid afternoon it was a lot less crowded in much more peaceful, but during the evening it's much more crowded and lively. so next time I will most likely grab some lunch there when it's not very lively in the Buckhead area. There are plenty of beverages and food that I would like to try someday. It's almost like being in Ireland but without the passport and for somebody of Celtic Roots like myself that's a real nice treat.

On a Saturday night, being possessed of a thirst and a certain leisure after a Jordan Klepper show, I inquired for an establishment most proudly Irish in its constitution. Indeed, Fado is one of the most Irish public houses I have encountered in Atlanta. The place wears its heritage most openly, and with such authenticity that I half expected a fiddler to spring forth from the rafters and demand I sing along. My intention was to secure a seat upon the patio; alas, every corner of it was already overrun by a cheerful horde of college students, each behaving as though stout were the fountain of eternal youth. Thus deprived, I consoled myself with their array of Guinness inspired potations, which I found both abundant and most welcome. One could scarcely lift a glass without the faint suspicion that the brewery itself was watching with approval. I resolved that I should return on some future occasion when a soccer match is in progress, for the atmosphere, I suspect, will then be nothing short of riotous. With foresight, I inquired into the vexing matter of parking, and was relieved to learn that the house does indeed validate for the garage behind Yeppa. A gentleman likes to know he may part with his coin over ale, not asphalt. All in all, it is a spot most conducive to merriment, if one does not mind the occasional roar of youth reminding one that his own college days are now but fondly misremembered footnotes.

I went here for lunch, the outside of the establishment gave off bar vibes I was going to pass it up but I decided to say when I looked at the menu. We sat outside where they allowed pets which I didn't like because there was a dog barking when people walk by. My food that I ordered was a salad it was different because it had beet hummus which I never had it was very good the only thing I did not like is the minute amount of greens they had on my plate I didn't have a side salad I ordered a salad entree. When I let the waiter know he also brought out more spring greens, but they charged me for it which I did not like! But I paid for it overall the place has great food I don't think I would sit inside it seems old. But the food was very good and our waiter was great. The prices were not bad either for an establishment in the Buckhead area

My friends and I were really looking forward to eating here. The menu looked amazing, the atmosphere seemed warm and inviting and they’re an Atlanta United pub sponsor so we thought this would be an amazing place to watch the game this past weekend. The first red flag was when we walked in. There was a sign that said to seat yourself. This wouldn’t had been a big issue if we hadn’t made reservations and had to confirm those reservations earlier that morning. We went upstairs and had a drink before we decided to find a seat to watch the game. We found a table for the four of us near the bar and were greeted by a server. He asked if we were getting food. We said not now but we would probably order something later and we’d order more drinks after we finished the ones we had. About fifteen minutes later, all our glasses empty, no one had come back to our table. The table to the right of us was served promptly, they finished their food, got the check, the table was cleared, and a new couple sat down and was served by a different server then the one that greeted us. Each of us made eye contact with our server. I had my menu open and no drink. I am READY to order and at that point I was hungry, so I was ready to order food as well (my husband and I really wanted to try the chips and sauces). We finally give up and order from the bar. I want to stop here and say this wouldn’t have been a big deal if he hadn’t come up to our table right as we sat down to introduce himself or if he had told us we had to order from the bar. After having to order from the bar we decide to leave after this drink in the middle of the soccer game. While we are drinking a couple sits to the left of us. They are immediately greeted, get their drinks in record time, their food even arrives before we leave all done by the server that greeted us. We were sitting there for at least an hour with no service. I’m not one to make assumptions but I’m hoping this inexcusable bad service, no, lack of service was because of short staffing (which on a Saturday night, during a soccer game, as a pub sponsor is unacceptable) and not the fact that my friends and I were not sporting designer bags or heels but instead were wearing Atlanta United gear and sneakers. I hope that as a pub sponsor, they take my review to heart and try to treat everyone that comes into their establishment to spend money the same. I don’t think we’ll be returning...

A group of friends and I went here for the USA vs. Jamaica Gold Cup soccer match. This place was packed and had great atmosphere for the event, but that's about all the good that I can say about my visit.

The service was incredibly slow. For a major event like this, wouldn't common sense dictate that more servers would be on staff? Apparently not. It took about 20+ minutes to get drinks whenever we'd order them, and one of our group members had to go and track down our server since she was so busy.

Further, the kitchen was so backlogged with orders at one point. The server informed us that they simply were not taking any orders for a certain amount of time in order to get the kitchen caught up. Again, if there is a major event going on maybe there should be more staff scheduled to compensate for the crowds.

The food tasted alright - we ordered BBQ wings, bacon & cheese fries, and some of the guys ordered dinner for themselves. I made the mistake of ordering the fish tacos during my visit. They made me sick, and I ended up going to the doctor because of it. I did reach out to Fado's via Facebook about this, but that was less than useless.

The GM was supposed to call me one day, and never did. Furthermore, it wasn't until the following week that I decided to follow up with Fado's about this. When I informed them that I was getting the BBB involved, I suddenly had received a call from the events coordinator. Not sure how this helps my issue, but that is the person who followed up with me.

After a nasty bout with food poisoning, and having to track down people at Fado's in order for them to do their jobs correctly, I know that I won't be back. They stood by their point that I was the only reported case of this happening, and more or less did nothing to resolve the situation.

If you're looking for a place that has god-awfully slow service, then go here. If you're looking for overpriced drinks, then go...

When I tell you in my 24 years on this earth Ive had some chicken quesadillas in my day. In fact i would say it is my favorite comfort food to grab anywhere i go. From New York to Chicago to Maine and Florida in all the places I’ve traveled. I have literally never had a better chicken quesadilla. When i tell you what was placed in front of me after ordering there $6 chicken quesadilla during happy hour looked like something from an episode of The Bear or the hit Disney movie ratatouille i could not be more serious. The craftsmanship of the presentation was excellent i had never seen such display of a chicken quesadilla with a pita like bread as the tortilla allowing the ingredients to be cooked in with the chicken and the cheese rather then be placed on the side to be added later. Also drizzled with a special chipotle sauce on top of each quesadilla piece allowing for a little kick with each bite so soft and savory with the chicken moist and cooked to perfection. I genuinely have not had such a flavorful and satisfying dish in my whole life. I am not the same man i was one chicken quesadilla ago compliments to the chef who probably has years of culinary arts studies under their belt. I would not be surprised if the chef primally focused on chicken quesadilla studies overseas and in other countries it would be the only logical explanation for it was that scrumptious. If i get a terminal illness and only have a limited time on this earth i will make sure to order from Fado Buckhead Irish Pub for there above and beyond excellent Chicken quesadilla and i encourage you all to try it you have my word it is the best you will ever have...
